kbone
Hi all, Ive just built my new PC, its finally up and running, ive tried halflife2 and it ran perfectly. I am however concerned with two things. 1. When i boot up my pc - i get the error, 'there is not enough space in the runtime area, smbios data will not be available. 2. Within device manager, i have duplicate entries for the following under the systems tab (19xPci standard memory controllers), (4xpci standard pci-pci bridge), (4x motherboard resources). I experienced problems getting the raid array to be detected, so installation was aborted quite a few times, other than that i dont know what could be wrong. Ive tried deleting the entries in device manager, then rebooting - but they simply reinstall themselves?? Like i said, performance still seems stable and fairly quick - but id like this problem fixed if at all possible. Would a bios update fix this problem? After searching, found this: - This message is displayed when the size of the SMBIOS data exceeds the available SMBIOS runtime storage size. - This indicates that the SMBIOS event log is full, then BIOS stops logging events to the SMBIOS event log. The SMBIOS event log can be cleared in BIOS Setup under the SMBIOS Event Log menu... Going with what youve stated above, do you think this would most likely be cleared by reinstalling?
