Felicia Day joins Syfy?s ?Eureka?

Proving that she can have her hand in everything, Felicia Day ? Web series ("The Guild," "Legend of Neil") as well as "The Guild" comic ? crashed Syfy's "Eureka" panel Saturday to announce that she'll be appearing in 10 episodes of the show.

Fellow comic fan ? and "The Big Bang Theory" guest star ? Wil Wheaton also tweeted during the weekend that he'll be returning to the show later this season. Day, who played Wheaton's nemesis on "The Guild" said she was excited to join the show, possibly as a love interest for Wheaton.

Day, whose previous dips into the sci-fi pool have included a guest starring gig on Fox's "Dollhouse," rushed out of the panel en route to sign copies of the new "Dollhouse" comic.

I love the character Jack Carter. That actor plays him so well. He's also pretty funny I find in the show. His character is always spazzing out, or laughing about some thing or another. Its a fun show to watch.

yeah he really does, I find myself laughing at Fargo alot and his mishaps

If they push the big red Deus Ex Machina button again, I WILL hunt down the Eureka writers, and I WILL slowly strip the skin of them before I bathe them in salt and hang them to dry.

I love the show. but the Deus ex is getting old.

Who are you hallucinating? A leggy blond in a slinky red dress. :D

Love the BSG reference and the earlier True Blood reference too.

haha yeah loved the true blood bit I was seriously loling at Stark in this episode and I hope he returns one day!

Good episode though and Zoe was quite hot in her dress!

Woo! Chris Parnell. Too bad, it's for one episode then we have to wait a couple of months to get the return of the actual season.

I really liked the midseason finale, I'm glad they stuck with the consequences they've put themselves into rather than wipe it away like every other season. I would love to see more Nathan Stark and even Grant.

Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton have reportedly agreed to appear in several episodes of Eureka.

Neil Grayston, who plays Fargo in the show, told E! Online that the duo have become more than just guest stars.

"Wil was just going to be on one episode and now he's on half the season," he said. "And Felicia's on a lot of episodes. They're like members of the cast."

However, Grayston refused to reveal too many details about the pair's storylines on the show, saying: "Felicia and Wil and Fargo have a sort of thingy happen."

Eureka is expected to return for new episodes in 2011.

Here's a lengthy synopsis and a bunch of promo photos for their upcoming holiday special, "O Little Town...":

Carter's (Colin Ferguson) plans to visit family for the holidays are thwarted when he, Zoe (Jordan Hinson) and the rest of the town are trapped in Eureka by a glitchy electromagnetic shield ? during a very un-Christmassy heat wave. Undaunted, Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) mega-decorates and Vincent (Christopher Gauthier) serves up fruitcake while a mysterious Secret Santa distributes stunningly perfect gifts. Fargo (Neil Grayston) obsesses over plans for the Global Dynamics company party, getting only a "Bah humbug" from Jo (Erica Cerra). She has her hands full with the partying GD staff, including Dr. Noah Drummer (Chris Parnell) who nearly absconds with a volatile experiment.

Even a runaway sleigh careening down Main Street fails to ignite Carter's holiday spirit, especially since the low flying Santa turns out to be the eccentric Taggart (Matt Frewer), immersed in the study of "Santalogy" - science that he insists will prove the existence of the elusive Claus.

The halls get seriously decked when Dr. Drummer's experiment, an unstable hydrogen crystal, starts to grow at a frightening rate. Carter and Henry (Joe Morton) attempt to deal with the potentially explosive crystal, but before long the true scope of the problem is revealed, and it will take more than tinsel and carolers to save Christmas ? and Eureka.

    • JetBrains is working to cut false positives in RustRover 2026.2 by David Uzondu Recently, JetBrains released the fifth EAP build of its dedicated IDE, RustRover 2026.2, bringing improvements like a Run gutter icon for criterion_main! macro benchmarking and a feature that alerts you when there are unused traits in your current scope. Now, the company is out with a blog post addressing one of the "most common" complaints from users: false positives. In RustRover, a false positive occurs when the editor incorrectly highlights something as an error even though the project compiles and runs successfully. This mismatch flags a gap between the IDE's internal intelligence and the actual compiler. When the editor flashes red warnings over perfectly valid code, developers lose trust in the tool, which stalls momentum. Traditionally, RustRover runs cargo check to detect compiler errors and warnings, but it also relies on its own code analysis engine to power real-time features. To provide quick feedback, this engine parses your source code into a syntax tree while inferring types and resolving names as you type. Because this engine must work on broken, half-written code and react instantly, its logic sometimes diverges from the compiler's, producing false positives that do not exist in the compiler's eyes. JetBrains said that it has a "dedicated task force" focused specifically on identifying and fixing false positives by analyzing user reports and examining large-scale open-source projects. To speed up this process, the team built an internal system modeled after Crater, the famous Rust project that compiles and runs tests for every single crate published on crates.io. This automated pipeline compares the diagnostics from RustRover's analysis with actual compiler output to catch discrepancies before they reach users, ensuring smoother workflows. RustRover, for those who're unaware, is a dedicated IDE designed specifically for Rust developers. It's been around for a couple of years now, providing features like built-in debugging via LLDB, seamless cargo integration, advanced macro expansion, and HTML support. JetBrains distributes the app under two licensing models: a paid commercial subscription and a free option for non-commercial use.
    • Last year I bought the 2TB variant for $114 on Amazon. That's crazy that the 1TB is now 67% more expensive for half the storage, even with the newer T9 already on the market. And that's considered a good deal.
    • You can disable all non needed features from Brave. There is also Brave Origin which removes them entirely and it is free for Linux.
    • I wish I could use Brave but the tab suspension feature is horrible. It doesn't suspend them like Edge does. Even after 2h open with 70+ tabs (same as Edge), it has 2GB more consumption than Edge for no reason.
