Can someone tell me if this popping is when you have the speakers muted and a sound plays? I get this on my MacBook Pro which has 10.4.10 but I dont have any updates in Software Update.

Should I apply this update?

Well 10.4.10 was released before this. You got the 10.4.10 which included the audio fix, that's why you dont see it in your software updates.

That's what I thought (10.4.10.1 version) but I'm experiencing a little pop noise when the audio is muted and a sound plays such as someone signing into Messenger, is this not the popping noise that was meant to be fixed?
