J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield Questions

just wanted to bump this.. there's some new TV Spots on Cloverfield on comingsoon.net.

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=40456

Saw those last night wasn't sure to post them as theres only like 2 new scenes but still looks good...film of 2008.

Watch, this film will be a total bombshell and suck big hairy monkey balls. That's what always seems to happy with these overhyped films. I hope it is as awesome as what it sounds, but it wouldn't surprise me.

overhyped would be like Transformers.. lol.. god I loved that movie.

An interesting (and unconfirmed) rumor hit our inbox moments ago claiming that JJ Abrams is maniacally obsessed with Magnolia Pictures' Korean monster movie The Host and that there are a few homages to it in Paramount Pictures' Cloverfield, which was produced by Abrams. I wouldn't be shocked if this was true... maybe we'll ask him if he let's press interview him for the release? Directed by Matt Reeves, the monster movie hits theaters January 18.

hmm, i'm having mixed feelings about this movie now. It doesn't tell you much, and seems to over hype itself just like "The Village"

All the scenes I have seen are always the same, and i'm starting to think thats the only part of the movie. Will the rest of the movie be filled with talking and an extremely boring character story line?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I just saw an online ad for Cloverfield and it stated, "Something has found us." That suggests aliens to me. Anyone else think that too?

I haven't seen them use this wording before on any of the other ads.

Don't know how many times on this thread alone people have said Godzilla

Yeah, I know ._. it's just when the monster is moving past one of the buildings in the start of the second trailer, when I pause it looks like a big robot leg.

Yeah I know it just looks like a big green shrimp...lol

^^ lol

is it a worldwide release on 18-01-2008 or is UK going to get a delayed by a few months release date or what, cause i CANNOT wait for this behemoth of a film

We get it in the UK, (or possibly Europe?) either very late Jan or very early Feb. So basically avoid the internet altogether between jan 18th and then! Otherwise all 'mystery' will be spoiled

^^ lol

    • I’m still using an Xbox One S, so time for an upgrade to play this but as much as I hate Sony, I think I’ll get the ps5 pro
    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.
