cow usually weights 1000-1500lbs but only about 800-1000 lbs eatable...

.5lbs a week 52 weeks 1 year so about .03% of a cow's eatable weight

cody, only 1/2 lb a week of meat? that seems -quite- a low estimate. i might eat a 1/2 lb a day. think about it, when you go out to dinner, if you order a burger, many times, aren't those 1/2lb, and then you're most likely eating meat at another meal in the day. so ive got to say that 11 cows might be a good estimate in a lifetime, as blaise pointed out.

It all depends. I mean, there's some fat-asses out there who have quarter-pounders at McDonalds for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, compared to those who eat no meat at all.

one of my mates lives on a farm, they go halfs on a cow every year and fill up one of their frezers, they eat meat everyday and it lasts them about 4 or 5 mths
