Liev Schreiber is about to get feral, sinking his teeth and claws into the iconic role of Victor Creed, AKA Sabertooth for next summer's prequel film X-Men Origins: Wolverine opposite Hugh Jackman as comicdom's most popular mutant. And as he tells ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype!, he enjoyed vying with Logan to be the best there is at what he does, even if what he does isn't very nice.

CS/SHH!: Did you ever think you'd be doing a comic book movie like "Wolverine"?

Liev Schreiber: No, I didn't. I always hoped I would, but I never did. It was a sort of natural graduation from "Defiance," actually. It's true. It was a natural next step.

CS/SHH!: Why did you want to do "Wolverine"? What was the attraction?

Schreiber: I hope I'm not blowing anyone's cover here, but I don't think men really mature intellectually and emotionally beyond 22. Your bodies evolve, but nothing else, really. And so why should I stop wanting to be in a comic book movie?

CS/SHH!: What was your point of entry to the "X-Men" mythology? Were you familiar with the characters from the comic books at all?

Schreiber: I was a fan of the comic books. I just loved the character of Wolverine. I always have. That sort of deeply ironic and very urban sensibility in a superhero was something that I thought was really groundbreaking. And the style of writing was... particularly the very sort of editorial style. I just always loved it. And I think that we were able to capture some of that darkness in this movie, so I'm very proud of it.

CS/SHH!: So, what can you say about that film, just to touch on it a little, as a character, after...

Schreiber: I'm very excited about it. I've seen some footage, and I think it's gonna be really very good.

CS/SHH!: How bad-ass do you look as Victor Creed?

Schreiber: It's hard for me to say. But I'm really looking forward to people seeing it. I found it to be really intense. The character I play is incredibly brutal and feral, has blood-lust unlike any other character I've ever played. This guy is a real killer.

CS/SHH!: Did you enjoy working with Hugh?

Schreiber: I love Hugh. I mean, Hugh is the reason I did it. We'd been friends for a long time. And it's just so much fun to work with him?To do fight scenes with Hugh was really terrific, because as a dancer, he has that kind of discipline and choreography. And I always studied to be a fight choreographer, and always wanted to be a dancer too, but didn't quite have the feet for it. But we had some remarkable fight scenes together, and I'm looking forward to people seeing those.CS/SHH!: As a veteran of superhero action, did Hugh have any advice for doing that kind of movie?b>

Schreiber: "Lift weights." [Laughs] I did. I lifted weights, and I ate an army of chickens.

Hugh Jackman Talks Gambit and Deadpool -

ON GAMBIT: "Gambit is in the film. When we showed footage at Comic-Con the place just went mental. He?s played by Taylor Kitsch who does a great, great job.

He?s a little more showy than Wolverine, but there?s a similarity. They?re outsiders, they?re wise-cracking, they?re anti-authority.

In this movie Gambit plays the role a little bit like Wolverine did in the first X-Men. He?s not part of any group, he?s not on anybody?s side. Wolverine gets him because he needs the information off him, but Gambit?s not going to give it ? not without a fight. And they get a fight, the two of them get a fight. I?m really, really happy with the dynamic between the two.

I quite liked Pyro in X-Men 2. I really loved that kind of relationship, because he turns to the dark side in a way. I always feel when I was acting that Wolverine could see a lot of himself in Pyro, y?know? The loose cannon.

And just a little aggressive, a little badass really and it?s the same with Gambit. Gambit?s got a little bit of that. A little showy, a little flashy, arrogant, so kind of Wolverine? They have a dynamic where they love giving each other ****. There?

ON DEADPOOL: there."

ON DEADPOOL:"And then Deadpool. I have to be very careful how I talk about Deadpool, because it?s something I?m really excited about in the movie, where it plays and how it plays. I just can?t think right now how I can tell you about it without giving away some really cool ideas!

That?s where David Benioff was really smart, how coolly he brought that character in.

The things I?m thinking about now I don?t want to tell you because the fans will go ?Awwww, that?s cool?? Actually some fans might be ****ed off but that?s ok. I think they?ll understand why we did it. We took some creative licenses with him."

    • Owing to the nature of Windows feature enablement updates, it was distributed over Windows Update services as a complete system upgrade rather than as an ordinary cumulative update
    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2, urges IT admins to prepare for release by Usama Jawad Windows 11 typically follows an annual update cycle, but Microsoft recently broke that tradition a bit by releasing a "26H1" version in the first half of this year as a "scoped" build for select new silicon PCs only. This version was not available for customers using 24H2 and 25H2 builds, as Microsoft is busy preparing version 26H2 for them, confirmed officially for the first time. In a Windows IT Pro blog, Microsoft has urged IT admins to prepare for the upcoming release of Windows 11 version 26H2. The company has confirmed that this will be a small enablement package (eKB) that will simply light up certain disabled features that are already present in the operating system's code base. This means that the "refined" Windows update and deployment experience will be simpler and quicker, with minimal disruptions, as the feature update will simply toggle a few flags rather than performing a complete replacement. Microsoft has explained that this is all possible because the standard Windows 11 releases share the same servicing branch and hence, the same source code. However, this also means that Windows 11 26H1 users won't be able to upgrade to 26H2 as that is a different branch, but this is something we have known for a while now. Similar to previous annual feature updates, Windows 11 26H2 will offer the following support cycles: 24 months of support for Home, Pro, Pro EDU, and Pro for Workstations editions 36 months of support for Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise Multi-session editions Microsoft has not confirmed a concrete release date for Windows 11 26H2, but noted that it is "coming soon". If we go by the ongoing release cadence, we can expect it to begin rolling out in early October 2026. As such, IT admins have been encouraged to begin validating Windows Insider releases in the Experimental Channel, plan rollout rings, and strategize the utilization of their existing deployment tools.
