As it is in the F.A.Q.:

1) Run time error 429 - activeX component can't create object!

Install both the setup files in AutoPatchers \win9xnt folder

If that doesnt work, go to start > run, type REGSVR32 SCRRUN.DLL and press enter

If that doesnt work, copy files from C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\bin to C:\Windows\System32

im sorry blaze..

it's also not working for me..

Well...actually i can live without the hotfix cleaner..im rarely using it..

does the error means anything? i mean more than just can't start the hotfix cleaner?

like there is a chance of the install updates not working properly..maybe due to corrupted installer?

:) hehehe

try repeating step #2 in gandolas' instructions above for all files from autopatchers \bin folder EXCEPT reboot.exe

if it doesn't work immediately try rebooting

For what it is worth my problem started when I run Autopatcher Aug 2007 core and HP memories creator hpdminst.msi wants to run and I cancelled it then Autopather Start up. Later I let the installer run and since then the error started. How you make sense of my ramblings.
