Please recommend some techno music

Recommended Posts

Do you mean straight techno techno? Or are you just saying techno because you don't know the genre well enough to be more specific? (and I don't mean that in a condescending way at all, because that's exactly how I was up until a few months ago...or almost a year now, whatever)

Recently, I've gotten a lot into trance. People who aren't familiar with the whole genre wouldn't really think trance is any different from techno, but I think trance is a lot more musical and a lot more interesting than most techno I've heard. My favorite trance artist so far is Infected Mushroom. I've actually gotten so much into trance that I'm going to buy a Korg Electribe in about 3 or 4 weeks (it's a drum synthesizer that can make all sorts of music, but especially trance/techno kind of stuff).

Benny Benassi might be a good start :p

EDIT: I really enjoy Fatboy Slim stuff, so that's another artist I recommend to check out. :)

I will do that then! Thanks! :)

Yes. LOL

I will check out all of your ideas thanks everyone!

darude

flashbulb (dnb but still, electronic music)

vospi ( http://vospi.bemafia.ru ) again, dnb but still great electronic music, at least the more recent stuff

kyle ward ( http://www.kyle-ward.com)

alot of these aren't 'techno' but they are electronic music .. besides, 'techno' is a very generic name for a genre and doesn't really describe the techno music out there

I am loving Benny Benassi!

I picked up the Best of Benny Benassi and I never knew that this was the artist for "Satisfaction".

I think that only everyone in the world has heard that song!

Good to hear you found something you like! Fatboy Slim didn't float your boat? :p

I've converted at least one metalhead to techno {well, electronica/electronica-experimental really.} with this, it has some of the aggression and power of metal that makes it more industrial than techno, but an undefinable genre.

Basically all digital, casio midi inputs for key locations, FL-Studio {TS404/slayer2, vanguard etc}

Some trancy stuff, but yeah, alot of heavy stuff in there too, especially "psypherium revolution", one from a long time ago.

oggs, torrents.

and...

Ladytron, Heaven 17, Laibach, Kraftwerk, KMFDM, Prodigy...

too many

I know several people who listen to the Chemical Brothers, I didn't know they were techno until now!

if you get any chemical brothers, id avoid their latest one, just released. top albums for them are, imo, ' dig your own hole ' and ' surrender '. they are ace.

prodigy is good too. i think ' fat of the land ' is their best one, but ' music for the jilted generation ' is good and ' experience ' is quirky and rather excellent

i like paul oakenfold and dj tiesto, but they are trancy. i am not a big fan of vocals in this sort of music, but i do like the chemical brothers guest singers. theres a cool track on ' dig your own hole ' called ' where do i begin ' with beth orton as vocal, nice

older electronica that is cool are orbital and the orb . i guess at some point that dj mod fellow will pipe in as he knows more than most about these things but there have been a lot of good responses to your question that have helped me too

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Anno 117, Final Fantasy VII, Rematch, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games Store's mystery giveaways may have ended, but its regular freebies didn't miss a step this week. The double drop was for copies of Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King. Speed Freeks lands for multiplayer racing fans, but with plenty of competitive shooting elements too. You will be piloting Ork buggies, tanks, and aircraft modeled after the popular tabletop miniatures while trying to complete objectives and pass finish lines. Next, Ouroboros King is a crossover between chess and tactical roguelikes, offering the chance to create your own army with special rules to beat incoming foes on the board. The double giveaway on the Epic Games Store will be available until June 11, and replacing it will be Citizen Sleeper and ROBOBEAT. The Humble Store brought a new charity bundle to check out this week too. Landing with the name The Complete Inkle Library, this is a large collection of interactive narrative puzzle games from the publisher Inkle. This begins with Heaven's Vault, four parts from the Sorcery series, 80 Days, Overboard, and Pendragon: Narrative Tactics within the starting tier for $9. Hopping up a step to the $12 tier gets you TR-49, Expelled, and A Highland Song for paying at least $12. If you go for the $20 tier, you get four e-books from the Heaven's Vault series. • When will the Photos app be updated to remember the window size and position when reopened? They addressed this issue in a 2024 version of the app (though I can't recall the build number). Unfortunately, after that specific version, the problem persists! Please prioritise this fix in your K2 schedule. Additionally, the Snipping Tool has lost the ability to capture the Windows Taskbar starting from the 2024 version!
    • Same, never saw it on Android or iOS. Guess only some people got it *shrugs*
