Any Ideas why this is happening?

It takes place when the script is left running and everynow and then I'll look down and see a new icon, so I left it for almost a day....what you see is the results.

It's an issue w/ the way the DesktopWeather script restarts samurize. sometimes the systray icon doesn't go away, so you wind up w/ a whole bunch after a number of hours.

Judge might be working on a fix for that. I'd PM him and ask.

PS - I'd blur out your IP address. It's pretty easy to see on your screenshot.

 Is the issue with the way the DesktopWeather script restarts samurize solved or being worked out? Maybe theres a work around? I can't seem to get anyting on the Samurize site. The systray icon multiplies, so I wind up with a whole bunch after a number of hours. I am really lovin this proggie and am so new to it I would never figure it out. Please we need help Judge!

Look a few pages back guys...Yes, some problem causes Samurize to restart but leave the previous icon in the system tray. If you mouse over them, all the old ones will go away. However, if you use a program like Tray Manager, you do not have this problem. I am using it and it works great!

EDIT: HEY GATOR, get your own avatar! :p

Or, in the case of DesktopWeather, you could set the RESTART_CLIENT option to false in the script. Only the images will stop updating, everything else will still update correctly. Then if you want to see the latest images just select 'reload config' from the popup menu on your client icon in the systray.

here's my new one...

i'll be awaiting permissions before i release (VS done by timan and modded by dazzla)

i had to use pixel fonts because i couldn't make it look good with the regular truetype fonts. i also have had to give up using cleartype. standard font smoothing with truetype fonts didn't look good either for some reason (everything was pixelated)... so that's why i stuck with the pixel fonts... uh... anyway...

colorpad is a colorpicker/zoom tool. i made a skin that would blend into my sam script. the icons on the left are yzdock.

here we go...

HI....don't suppose you could help me here...

I've just started using Samurize (not easy when their web site isn't up), and I've got the DesktopWeather script running....but it doesn't update itself. How can I get it to update from the net automatically?

Thanks,

Chris

Judge you need to remove the : at the end of your link, and also the shade button doesn't do anything for me =/ Awesome skin though definitely a new favorite, also not sure if this is a big or not, but when attaching the PL to the player there is a gap, they don't lock together side by side

    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
