Question about keyboard

Recommended Posts

I'm curious as to why my keyboard and mouse won't keep up in games. I have o wait for a 1 second delay before anything happens and this greatly angers me since I get shot before even moving in FPS games. My keyboard is a Logitech MX3200 with an MX600 mouse connected wirelessly through USB. This never really happened with my cordless desktop EX110 and even in a flash game sometimes it acts up. I have 2 USB controllers on my machine, Via PCI and my mobo's SiS controller. My webcam and my printer fill up my pci controller (2 slots on controller) and my mobo's is only used by my Bluetooth adapter and my wireless link for the keyboard. Please help me out and btw it never acts up in Windows or anything else, only games pretty much. I also fresh installed my Windows just yesterday without spyware/malware/BS programs. Running XP with tasks only being the WIDCOMM Bluetooth software for my v3xx, setpoint, avast antivirus, windowblinds, rocketdock, and topdesk. Check my specs for hardware specs as well for more info if needed.

wireless isn't really for gaming. could be your batteries dying... other than that idk..

I've gamed with MX3000, MX3200, and diNovo Edge. The first two are RF keyboards with the last one being a Bluetooth keyboard.

They work perfectly. :p

Are you using TeamSpeak or Ventrilo? I know one of them used to give me mouse/keyboard lag....

I'm not using neither. I don't get how my EX110 worked the same way like this and somehow after time, it just worked right. I put in new batteries as well. If anyone really wants to know what I have running, the hijackthis log is below:

Just go through your list one by one and google each entry (not the entire line, just the .exe or service name), there are a few sites out there that will tell you what they are for and if they are necessary...

Things like nwiz (nvidia setup wizard) can go, I normally get rid of IDriverT as well, but you will need to stop its service first...I'd say you could safely remove at least 50% of that startup list :)

Also when your playing games, you are closing background apps aren't you? Like that Dock program etc? Have you also tried playing games with Avast disabled/closed down?

Also make sure Java is up-to-date, it might already...but I refuse to install Java on my PC so I don't know its current version :p

  • 2 weeks later...

This is sad since there are no other suggestions and I'd really just like to play games. Any "jumpers" in the bios are left as defaults even since i had my ex110 and that worked too. It acted up like this one now but IDK how it just worked, I even had setpoint running if that is the case.
