Filming is now well underway on episode three of Series 6. The episode, as previously reported, is written by Neil Gaiman.

This week the production team have been shooting scenes on location at Cemex quarry in Taff Wells and Mugimoe managed to get some pics of the action.

The location where the TARDIS lands shows broken pillars and other wreckage with interesting other broken architecture scattered around. It looks suspiciously like a crash site or perhaps a post-apocalyptic setting, like in Utopia. Of course Doctor Who has a history of using quarries for alien planets, so that?s another strong possibility.

You know, I haven't read it up, so maybe you know Rappy. But, are they planning on bringing back Jenny (the Doc's kid from Series 4) this year? I still think she should make an appearance. She rocked. And that regeneration/whatever where she popped back from the dead was neato!

I haven't read anything about her returning, I have a feeling as its a RTD story the chances are slim

Moffat: ?Old Daleks Coming Back?

Not content with giving us a truck load of teasers the other day, another interesting nugget has surfaced from Doctor Who: The Brilliant Book.

Steven Moffat reveals we haven?t have seen the last of the old Daleks which were (seemingly) destroyed and replaced by a rainbow coloured ?new paradigm? in Victory of the Daleks.

Says Moffat, ?The fact is, we?re not going to lose the old Daleks. We?re keeping them. They?re coming back. We?ll just use them all at once, and have different ranks. All I?ve done is give the Daleks an officer class.?

This sheds some new light on an earlier quote by Moffat who said when they return ?There will be lots of different kinds.?

Strange, thought we were told that the Daleks wouldn't be in this series, unless this decision was based aorund the spliiting on the next series into two parts and as such isn't going to part of the first or second half.

Still, I wouldn't mind a series without the Daleks.

Yeah, I swear he said that. Oh well, I hope it's better than 'Victory of the Daleks'.

Writer Neil Gaiman has dropped an intriguing hint about his episode of Doctor Who.

Last month was announced that actress Suranne Jones would play a character called Idris in episode three of Series 6. A role which Gaiman said ?people will remember forever.?

According to Ology, Gaiman revealed that the mysterious character ?may be an old friend of the Doctor?s with a new face.?

It?s a small hint but could obviously be a significant one

Old Daleks - That will at least be good and stop people complaining about the new Daleks, but I prefer either :p

Idris - I think she is either a different version of River Song, or Jenny from Series 4. Or many people keep suggesting that it's susan. But the most unlikely but funny thing that could happen is that she is the master regenerated :p Since they have said Time Lords can change gender during regeneration (Just the Doctor has not).

Wait, when was it ever said a Time Lord could change genders during a regeneration? I don't remember that and I've been watching since the late 70's lol

Anyways, I'm guessing Idris is probably going to be the Doctor's Granddaughter (remember her from the first Doctor? lol) or possibly even his Mother (though that seems unlikely). It won't be Jenny, since if she ever comes back, she'll have the same face (unless they have to recast cuz the actor is busy) since she didn't die or regenerate (normally).

Wait, when was it ever said a Time Lord could change genders during a regeneration? I don't remember that and I've been watching since the late 70's lol

From memory it has happened once in an audio play or something a while back where The Doctor commited suicide to change his gender or some nonsense like that, as such isn't cannon by any means and chances are is never going to happen.

And looking it up now it was part of the Doctor Who Unbound series which are just made up stories that aren't part of Cannon at all, so no, there has never been a canonical scene or mention of a Time Lord changing sex.

Yeah, not that I'm a DW snob or anything, but I've seen practically every single episode dating back to the 1963 series. I think I was the only loony American in my area who stayed up until 3 or 4 am to watch it on PBS every weekend :D Then I discovered VHS!

Anyways, I wouldn't MIND a gender change on regeneration. I don't really see why it's so "forbidden" and all that. But, then again, the Doctor still hasn't been "ginger" :)

Lucky for some, I'm not old enough to have seen them all. :p

My girlfriends dad is a big Doctor Who nerd, he is trying to download all the episodes at the moment which are a couple of hundred gigabytes, you would need like a dedicated external hard drive for them all, lol.

And here's a bunch of crazy teasers for "Death to the Doctor", Russell T. Davies's first (and perhaps only) time writing for the Eleventh Doctor. It looks like he might be using the opportunity to deepen the Doctor Who mythos in a rather big way:

1. Doctors 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11 all make an appearance.

2. There's mentions of Axons, Azal and Aggedor.

3. "Smells like roast chicken!"

4. The Brigadier is still stranded in Peru, while Liz Shaw is on the Moon.

5. That's Groske, not Graske.

6. The Doctor doesn't have to be white. And he can regenerate more than 12 times - a lot more!

7. "You look like someone's baked you!"

8. Jo Jones (n?e Grant) has 7 children and (almost) 13 grandchildren.

9. The Doctor might never look back, but Sarah Jane has discovered some interesting things using Google.

10. "Accelerate the weave!"

David Tennant is interviewed in the latest issue of the Radio Times and gets another cover dedication (his 21st since 2005!)

Of course, no Tennant interview would be complete without a few obligatory questions on Doctor Who.

So does Tennant regret leaving the show?

?No, it felt just right, actually. It still does. It felt right to pass the baton on and for it to continue to thrive. It was just wonderful and it created many, many more opportunities than it closed down. I think my life is in a very different place and my career is in a very different place to what it was before I did Doctor Who and that is 90 per cent positive.?

And the big question ? what does he think of the current series of Doctor Who and Matt Smith?

?Genuinely, I think it?s been brilliant. I?ve loved every second of it. It?s a thrill for me to be watching it as a viewer again. I knew Matt was going to be fantastic and he is. He?s a great choice and he?s knocked it out of the park.?

Fans can catch Tennant in new drama, Single Father, beginning this Sunday 10th October at 9pm on BBC1.

We have some spoilers for The Sarah Jane Adventures courtesy of The List which reveals what is really going on in Death of the Doctor.

Sarah Jane and Jo Grant pair up to rescue The Doctor after they are tricked into believing he has been killed, and invited to his funeral. But the pair quickly realise the ceremony is a trap, and learn that a group of aliens called The Shansheeth have captured the Tardis, leaving the Time Lord stranded on a planet. These vulture-like aliens then attempt to use a ?memory weave? to connect with the pair?s brains and past thoughts, and learn how to unlock the time-travelling machine through their past experiences with The Doctor. As they reminisce, viewers of the show will watch video flashbacks of previous Time Lords William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, whilst their iconic nemeses The Daleks, Sea Devils, Sontarans and Davros also make a return.

Death of the Doctor airs Monday 25th October at 5.15pm on the CBBC channel.

I'd like to see a series without the Daleks, thank you. If anything needs to come back, it's the real Cybermen. Some Ice Warriors would be cool, too.

    • I think he means you haven't reviewed previous UFC games. Of course it doesn't matter... Every time you just report on something that involves the President even if just simply what happened you guys usually get accused of being anti-Trump. We live in fun times.
    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

Flip the new mode switcher to Builder, set everything the way you want it, and save the result as a Winhance config or an autounattend file ready for deployment on other machines. Sponsors & Supporters page β€” the exit donation dialog is gone. In its place, an in-app page (heart icon or the More menu) recognizes the businesses and individual supporters who keep Winhance free. It works offline and is fully localized. Change History β€” Winhance now keeps a receipt of everything it does. ChangeHistory.txt records every setting change (before and after values) and every app install or removal, with clear headers for config imports and bulk actions. Open it from the More menu. Hebrew language support β€” Winhance is now available in 29 languages. New Explorer customizations: desktop icon visibility toggles, This PC folder visibility, an icon cache size setting, and automatic thumbnail cache cleanup. New "All apps view" setting for the redesigned Windows 11 Start menu, and the Windows 11 system tray icons setting is now a dropdown with more control. App-local UI zoom β€” press Ctrl +/-/0 or use Ctrl+MouseWheel to scale the whole app, just like a browser. New External Apps: EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, Rockstar Games Launcher, PowerShell, and Helium Browser. Bug Fixes Layouts no longer clip when the Windows text size slider is set above 100%. Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent β€” error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features β€” they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
