Jurassic Park 4 (Rumours and Discussion!)

I seriously loose respect for a "forum moderator" when he utters absurd things like those above!

That's a bit drastic...I respect Spielberg for what he has done in the world of film but he is better off not putting his name to this piece of trash.

umm Clint Eastwod you know...

and they wheren't that good anyway, I didn't even finish flags and thus decided to just skip letters. Been there done that seen it all before and nothing new.

Steven Spielberg was producing them my good old friend...

but hey, anyone with a repetoir like this must be an oxymoron right?

yeah my edit got lost in the stream of the internets.

As I did comment in my edits, while Spielberg is listed as the producer, as far as those two movies goes, he's just a name to slap on the DVD covers and movie posters to lure more people. He had nothing to do with those movies, those where all Clint.

As for his movie prouctions, sure he did some good stuff in the past, but lately his stuff is crap, boring and he's turnign way over philosical and crap, it started with AI, and noe he's remaking AI in nearly every movie he's doing.

Well maybe not with JP4, that's just wrong on so many other levels.

oh and this was the game/comic/cartoon I was thinking off

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillacs_and...s_(arcade_game)

except I think the comic and cartoon was better than this movie will be.

I'm sorry, but calling Steven Spielberg those kind of names really makes you look more an idiot than what he allegedly is... With all good films he produced during the years, I think it's fair enough if he does a couple odd ones in between.

It wasn't long ago since his last few master pieces came out; Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers.

And I'm certain Transformers: the movie will satisfy quite a few people out there...

Just because he produced them doesn't mean he had a hand in the story. I'm talking about directly effecting the storyline. Not producing  And am I not entitled to my own opinion?

Come on, you loose respect for me because I posted my opinion on someone that I haven't enjoyed his films for years (the only two films he's ever done good with IMO is Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List), but you don't loose respect for him coming up with the worst idea in cinema history.

Yes, because it is a well known fact that the producer mererly is there to lean back, roll his thumbs, and wait for the cash to roll in. The producer is there to oversee the whole production process and not only financial matters as you might think.

I'm sure you enjoyed more than those two films. but to prove a point states otherwise.

Munich, Band of Brothers, Empire of the Sun etc etc...

Anyway, I'm not too concerned with your actual likes and dislikes. More so the unnecessary name calling.

I'm doubt calling a complete stranger an idiot would be as easily shrugged of as it would on a internet forum...

*movie starts with a chopper cam view aimed at the sea, going forward towards a green, lush, island*

*slow pan up*

*fade in John William's music*

*cut and pan slowly to a dino view of a family of Brachiosaurus*

"Aouuuaaahh!!!"

*fast forward one hour, twenty minutes*

Family with a few children are chased by clever Velociraptors, now further genetically experimented on and smarter than ever! More 'raptors in this movie than ever!! And now, in a city! The first time with 'raports in a city! In a city! City! Raptors!

Maybe add in a T-Rex or two causing general chaos for variety!

Hm... I always felt there's material for about 1 good movie in this series. :(

 I know what the producer is there for. Thanks for the Production 101 course  I've never enjoyed any of his other films, except as a kid I liked ET, but then I grew up and realized, BORING!

So I don't have the right to call Steven Spielberg a name? Since when did I move to China where I don't have the right of freedom of speech? Which I believe covers me in name calling. I call him that to his face if I could. Based on this idea of his for JP4, he's a complete idiot. Plain and simple. I don't have a problem with it at all and I bet I'm not the only one who thinks so either.

By the way, most of the stuff Spielberg is attached to on the producing side is executive producer. An executive producer role can vary (of course), but most of the time they aren't hands on like what a producer would be. Obviously they don't deal with just money, they also manage the producers, they hire and fire positions (such as the director, screenplay writer(s), etc.). But some are just attached names only. For example, Hostel: Part II's executive producer was Quentin Tarantino, but his involvement was minimal though. Same thing for the film Feast (which had some big name executive producers Ben Affleck, Wes Craven, Harvey Weinstein & Bob Weinstein, etc. and they had minimal involvement with the script).

So then I don't have to explain to you yet again, that he did have a hand in beforementioned movies?

And I find it just slightly amusing that while for you those words seems to be fine to utter without any comprehension, if I were to say the same to you a few to many times would either result in a warning or a ban.

You should have realised by now that there's no free countries, but only less restrictive.

Anyway, enough of this c(s?)hit chat.

How would me calling Spielberg result in a warn or ban? The rules are clear that there's no name calling on other members, but I doubt Spielberg is a member of Neowin.net. Possible, but unlikely. Maybe a refresh course of the rules? (rule #4) (Y)

Band of Brothers writers: Stephen Ambrose (book), Erik Jendresen (part 1), Tom Hanks (part 1), John Orloff (part 2), E. Max Frye (part 3) Graham Yost (part 4) Bruce C. McKenna (part 4), Erik Jendresen (part 5), Bruce C. McKenna (part 6), Graham Yost (part 7), Erik Bork (part 8), Bruce C. McKenna (part 8), John Orloff (part 9), Erik Jendresen (part 10), Erik Bork (part 10). Funny, I don't see his name written anywhere.

Most of the time, the producer and executive producers are involved little in the screenplay writing process. Of course they review it (most of the time), they want to know what they're name is attached to, but the screenplay writer(s) and the director are the ones who play around with it the most. That's what they're job is. The executive producer/producer were doing a lot with the script, their name would be attached to it as well, but it isn't most of the time.

One way they can make this a hell of a lot better is have a cross over with lost. A new group of dharma people are working on a part of the island we havn't seen yet, and they took over the old scitensts from the old JP Movies. Locke and ben go hid in the woods together and end up getting eaten by one of the dinorsors.

i'm not tieing in smokey with the dinosors, both are complety diferent ideas.

*Get these mother f****** Raptors off my motherf****** Plane*

:D

WICKED IDEA!!

kill off a trilogy in a heavy, massive, flaming bag of **** heading towards earth

Let me save the director 3 months of filming, and millions of dollars in lose revenue. Give me the money, this movie is going to suck more then Jenna Jameson in a porno

A friend of mine whos a HUGE movie "geek" (I mean, he has his myspace infested with pictures, youtube videos etc of all dsorts of movies, old, new and both. Plus loves to argue with people and their opinions, espechily with movies and tv) Said, they most likey brought the script, just to have rights for the movie. He says "it happens in hollywood a lot" So only time will tell..

Recent reports on the ?Net have stated that the long-awaited, highly anticipated and hotly debated ?Jurassic Park IV? is moving forward into the casting process. While this rumor has re-ignited fan interest and discussion (never a bad thing), the rumors turn out to be completely unfounded as per multiple, separate sources associated directly with the production.

Steven Spielberg?s personal reps at Amblin Entertainment (co-producers of the ?Jurassic Park? franchise) have told SpielbergFilms.com that casting has not commenced on the film, as the story and screenplay are still in development. While there?s been talk over the years with series stars Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and most recently, Laura Dern, the property is still not ready to move forward toward production and no casting is taking place.

The good news is that the film is still in development, but it?s not near the point that these rumors would have it. Steven Spielberg is of course currently hard at work filming the latest chapter in his other beloved franchise, ?Indiana Jones IV.? At last public comment, producer Frank Marshall said that serious attention will turn to ?Jurassic Park? as soon as Spielberg?s camp has put the finishing touches on the new Indy film. Whether or not this will hold at that time remains to be seen, but for now, take heart in knowing that they?re still working on bringing ?Jurassic Park IV? to eager audiences.

Ugh, I knew it. I knew they'd pull a Turok. I'm glad they're working on Jurassic Park IV because I loved the rest of the JP movies (I,II,&III) but this idea seems a bit too far fetched for me. :/

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
