I think i mention this every time IT Crowd is mentioned; how come IT Crowd gets a new series commissioned even though it had poor ratings but Garth Marenghi's Darkplace did not?!

Yeah that was a great program!, it would be good if they even put on repeats of darkplace.

I shall be watching this, the best part of the 1st series was the fire, it was just a genius piece of comedy. Now all i have to do is remember to put it on, know doubt i will be distracted whilst reading this forum

Oh that was great

"Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you...nah, too formal"

Great episode, made me ROFL, very different from series 1 but I like it, just didn't focus on the IT aspect at all, but maybe they'll get back into that as the series progresses.

Oh, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_IT_Crowd_(US_TV_series) :x

That show reminds me of "When the Whistle Blows" from Gervais' 'Extras' complete with the big glasses and wig because they are 'funnier' and jokes so predictable that you don't need to hear the punchline (you can't anyway because the fake laughter is so loud).

Maybe Season 2 will be better (maybe a cameo by Chris Martin!)

I'll have to check out this series... sounds pretty good.

the US series might be funny... i'll have to wait and see. remember NegaC, the US version of The Office is wildly popular here. it's definitely one of my favorite shows. I've watched the british version many times over, but honestly, the US version is better.

you Brits get me all confused when you talk about the "series". :p We call it a season. Here, a series refers to the whole show itself.

Someone should buy this from 4OD and send it to me ... :( lol. I really want to see it.

It's free to download... someone download episode 1 and send it to us...pleeeze, episode 1 is the funniest show I have seen on TV for years. I watched it last night and laughed out loud for the full show....

Missed it the other night, didn't realise it was starting so soon. Just getting it now to watch :D

Also was reading through wikipedia something I didn't realise

Ayoade directed the video for the Arctic Monkeys song 'Fluorescent Adolescent'.
cool video :)

You would never have guessed that they were in the IT business. I hope the producers have not decided that the IT jokes are a barrier to reaching a larger audience and decided to ditch them as a result.

You're having a laugh!

British humour is such an acquired taste that many foreigners completely miss most of the irony and subtleties, which are the best bits!

No because its wrapped up in DRM so you would have to have the PC it was downloaded on to watch it.

First episode of the new series wasn't all that great. I still prefer series one, but let's see what the next episode has to offer.

+1. I thought the first half was a bit lame, but the second half definitely improved. Not as good as the first series, but 7 more eps to go, and the preview of ep2 looks wicked :)

    • So they saved ton of money by using AI resulting in loss of crap load of money in recalls and expenses. Bravo. Management needs to be replaced by AI, not engineers.
    • Ditto that, I have a few Alexa devices around the house to control lighting and such for a disabled person I live with, and it shows a *lot* of ads on the display. The dots are simple but effective. A lot cheaper too.
    • Go for a Echo Dot or Pop instead. These Echo shows just advertise to you.

NetSpeedTray v1.3.3: The Updater Fix A stabilization release that repairs a critical regression in v1.3.2: the app shipped without OpenSSL, which silently broke every HTTPS request — including the built-in update checker (the "Could not check for updates" error many of you hit). This release restores it, hardens the build so it can't happen again, and fixes a startup crash plus four other reported bugs. Changes: Fixed update checking — Resolved a critical issue that prevented the app from checking for updates ("Could not check for updates"). Fixed startup crash with Auto-Cycling — The app no longer crashes on launch after enabling Cycle display mode. Fixed incorrect network speeds on 10GbE adapters — Multi-gigabit network cards now display speeds correctly instead of being stuck at 0. Improved color coding — Default color is shown when idle, and color/threshold changes now apply immediately without restarting. Fullscreen visibility fix — The widget now correctly stays visible over fullscreen apps when Keep Visible is enabled. Improved AMD Ryzen temperature detection — More reliable CPU temperature monitoring for Ryzen processors. Cleaner upgrades — Installer now removes outdated application files during upgrades, preventing DLL/version conflicts while preserving user settings. Improved stability — Fixed potential DLL loading issues by excluding critical OpenSSL and NumPy components from UPX compression. Better settings window — Scrollbars removed and layout improved for a cleaner experience. Localization improvements — Updated translations and completed missing UI text across all supported languages. More reliable releases — Added regression tests covering recent critical fixes, bringing the test suite to 196 passing tests.
