Episode 3 was pretty funny, with the piracy reference LOL.

this show is great, and hope it keeps going (Y)

too bad we don't get new episodes in Canada until later next year (i believe)... so you gotta watch them online

I don't know how interesting a comedy entirely focused on tech would be.

I don't mean 'entirely focused'. Series one managed it alright; with all the subtle references, EFF stickers, flying spaghetti monster posters, roy's shirts, and whatnot.

I dont know. I think they've got the mix about right. Light on the IT (boring) and heavy on the weirdness (yea). This is by Graham Linehan who did Black Books and Father Ted. Both of those also had two main male characters and one female one. Its weird, but there are similarities comedy-wise. I liked the russian oppression thing about smoking. :p

Actually though I didnt enjoy last night's episode as much as the other two. I find the canibalism thing a bit disturbing, and what was that bloke, some famous celloist or something?

I don't find it that funny. Richard Ayoade is a good comedy actor, and enjoyed him in Darkplace/Dean Learner. He acts his part as how I presume it's meant to be, but he just isn't funny. I've worked forever in IT and when I first saw this I thought "cool, something I will relate to" but I find it mostly lame and over exaggerated played out jokes.

Just because people are in the audience, doesn't mean they don't used canned laughter. When you add it to a studio audience, it's called 'sweetening' by the people who work in tv. Every tv show that has a laugh track sweetens their studio audience, some better than others.

Even 'Saturday Night Live' sweetens their audience laughter, and they are freaking live!

An autonomous AI system built by researchers at Amazon's A-EVO-Lab completed a full post-training run on a 30 billion parameter NVIDIA Nemotron model — with no human in the loop, across four rounds running over multiple weeks — and then did something its designers had not planned for: it detected that its own internal evaluation metric had become misleading and redesigned the search strategy it was using to improve itself. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319123/20260626/nvidia-ai-trained-itself-30b-model-corrected-its-own-broken-metric-mid-run.htm

    • If Ford would stop hiring SUITS to run the company, and put CAR GUYS back in charge perhaps they could do better. Heck, the only CAR they produce today is the Mustang. Hey Ford! Not everyone needs/wants an overpriced SUV or pickup truck that is so tall you have to have a step ladder to get in and out of it.
    • Amazing how some will just jump all over something. Probably the same people that thought Musk was a "tech god" before he saddled up with "bad orange man". Before, they worshiped at his feet, including a lot of so called hollywood types. Now, because he fell off the plantation truck, they toss him under the bus.
