I'm sorry but you really need to go back to the Playstation area of the site. This game is no way overhyped. Playing the beta made me more excited then ever and now here we are only hours from release and my mind is about to explode, because it's all I can think about. Really if though, what "certain" games have been overhyped recently?

I would have to agree, actually. I think H2 was overhyped and that's why a lot of people were disappointed, but I think Halo 3, based on what I've seen, deserves it all. It may not bring that much new to videogames (although it does bring a lot of new stuff), but it improves on what's been done, and it does what it does better than any other game out there.

There's a reason the Halo franchise is as big as it is. Just because it may be hyped or may not bring much new doesn't mean it doesn't deserve perfect or near-perfect scores.

Ok I take it back about 3 being 2.5, visually atleast. Sierra 117 reminds me of Peter Jackson's King Kong. I wonder if they collaborated here..... Visuals are truly stunning holistically, but some lesser details tarnish some of it. For the record, I hate the sound of the new AR; sounds to thin compared to the might of the less than accurate H1 model :p

Great vid for those who haven't seen it yet:

Halo 1, 2, and 3 visuals compared! < -- NO spoilers, I promise.

Well, i bought bioshock for PC the other day and its not as great as everyone thought, thats pretty recent right ? warhawk for PS3 isn't as good as it was originally made out to be, and again i dont see crysis for PC being as good as farcry

i feel its going to be a good game but not as good as people think, its just disappointing, the fancy graphics is clawing people in and im not sure what the story will be like but i didn't like the 1st story too much and the second was worse

Once again... not looking for arguement, simply displaying my thoughts the way i do

Don't buy it then. I'm sure after taking $200,000,000+ in the first week (day even?!) they won't miss your $60.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
