Halo 03 |News & General| OFFICIAL

Recommended Posts

I just finished the fight and I can honestly say, it was the most amazing gaming experience I have ever had in a campaign.

The way the wrap it all up is pretty brilliant, IMO. Very, very good pace to the whole story, the music was great and the AI would constantly be surprising me. Good stuff all around. (Y) :D

Can't wait to do it all again in co-op on the harder difficulty levels. :D

For those Uk guys who ordered from game.co.uk......... how accurate is the order tracking? Its saying that mine hasnt even been sent out yet!

Mine said it was sent on 22/09/2007 around midday day. it was 2nd class, so tuesday is fine.

I do but when i enter my tracking number on ParcelForce webite it says they don't have it or it hasnt been entered into their system yet. I got a feeling it will come tomorrow and not today if everyone has the Legendary Edition sent out by ParcelForce. What a bummer. I hope i am wrong.

LE looks sweet.

Nope it appears you are right. No one who ordered an LE from gameplay has seen theirs. Looks like they are going out properly today.

*sigh*

Cue another Wii fiasco where you recieve it 2 days late because parcel farce can't handle the work.

edit: Just got my tracking number it's not been sent yet.

Theres only 1 thing i did not realise, Master chief is of the Spartan Race soo why the hell in halo is there only 1 spartan how come you do not see more?

The spartan's are not a race, there modified soldiers, their kidnapped when there kids as to not remember their parents.

checked a bit ago, still 150 or 80 points.
where are you looking? In the themes section because as per the article I clicked on the ad on the front of the marketplace blade, not by navigating through the themes area.

You sure the 80pts ones arent the older pay ones?

Halo 3 killed my 360. Literally minutes after beating the campaign, the box red ringed.

Gah. I'll check again in a little bit to see if it's recovered.

Yeah. Mine is dead as we speak so i cannot do anything even if the game does come today/tomorrow :(

someone on the xbox forums noted this but is it me or is there absolutly no anti aliasing going on. Things look really jaggered, especially cables. Still it looks quite nice, especially the environments and the anti aliasing and human models are the only downer so far.

Been playing a few hours and its really been fun so far. Especially the vehicle sequences which were totally awesome.

Halo 3 Swag Rebagging (Plus Apology)

The other day, I posted a video showing some cool Halo 3 swag Microsoft sent me as part of the press kit. Despite me putting the word "Incredible" in the headline, people thought my video reflected a lack of appreciation for the gear, and I was called many names for it, and even received a death threat. I had no idea that Halo 3 fans were even more passionate than Apple fans. I realize now my video may have been seen as disrespectful, so I want to apologize here, and give you a second video with more detail of the Halo 3 swag unbagging, although its pretty similar to last week's, for those who weren't offended in the first place. Halo 3 fans who I disappointed last week, this video is for you.

Yeah, I'm not really sorry. I love Halo 3, and all this Swag is great, but those fanboys are too rabid for my tastes. For the record none of the stuff was broken or even remotely hurt after the stress test. Real fanboys would know that master chief's energy shield could absorb the impact. (Obviously, the Xbox was taken out of its case.)

I'm holding a contest called "Not Insane Halo 3 Fanboy" The non-microsoft owned stuff, like the dog tags and gamer points and duffel bag are going to the first commenter in this post who wasn't an idiot, and can write me an email with comment account verification.

Edit: and that's the end of free stuff for this mofo...

Yep, sounds like ParcelForce are being useless. My brother ordered the normal version from gameplay and he received his this morning with Royal Mail. A ParcelForce van pulled up outside today and i was all excited and then he took a box next door instead!

Edit:

Looking at the cvg.co.uk forums and it seems all Parcel Force orders are being held back by Microsoft till after 6 tonight to stop people getting it early, that would be why your tracking numbers don't work. Damn.

    • AltSendme 0.4.2 is out.
    • Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.
