nooooo

mine comes up: "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console"

edit: it even says play DVD in the tray thing at the bottom of the dashboard

*cries*

That sometimes happens to me with a couple of games, normally opening and closing the tray works or restarting the Xbox.

Hi folks,

Sounds like its true about the disks falling out during transport and getting ruined, my limited edition turned up today, but it def sounds like inside that the disks have fallen lose. I'm not going to open it as I can't send it back if I open it (grrr postal) and luckily I have the standard one ordered as well that should arrive tomorrow hopefully.

Bit of a shame because now I have to wait another day :(

Anyone else got this?

lose != scratched

over-reaction much?

Honestly, mine got a few scratches, but they're extremely superficial. I haven't had any problems with the game, and if I do I'll just try using my Disc Doctor and that should fix it. If not, I'll take it back then, but I'm doubting it will be that big of a deal.

It's a shame that the launch has to be tarnished by an issue like this, but they can't foresee everything.

My LE was loose when I bought it but I bit the bullet and opened it anyway. (in store--if the game doesn't work I can always exchange it)

The game disc was scratch free even though it was loose. :) The essentials had some minor scuffs but I'm not troubled over that.

NINE Threads Merged.

Honestly, Does the OFFICIAL need to be written twice maybe?

I know you all feel like your topic is worthy of it's own posts and are worried no one will read it if you post in one of the Official threads, but trust me, we have very good members here. They will read the threads, and if you ask for help or ask a question, it will get answered.

Also I need to remind people, it was most of you, the community, who overwhelmingly voted to keep it all organized into a few OFFICIAL threads.

So please not only respect my task at hand, but also please respect the decision of your fellow members as well.

Thanks for your cooperation.

whoops sorry... I've not been around the main MS forum for a bit so I missed it :p Still not an excuse for lazy reading tho....

yeah maybe.... but I was going on this

https://www.neowin.net/index.php?act=view&id=42766 and there's a bigthread on neogaf from people who work in gaming stores and buyers who've said the holding thing ruins the disks. If I'd got it from the store it'd be easy to get a replacement if it was screwed but I dare not risk it with online stuff that had been thrown all over the royal mail and dumped in post bags

No worries. I had to merge nine threads, some made by some very, very frequent regulars to this very section.

i went to marketplace, clicked the ad, and it was charging people points.

so i went to new arrivals, and went to "33 days of Halo 3" and the blue, white, and red gamer pics were FREE (it's just a white, red or blue background with "33" in it).

the theme however, is NOT free.

I didn't want to creat a new thread and get it trouble...

MS admits Halo 3 scratched disc problem

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=172602

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Microsoft has admitted there's a problem with Halo 3's Limited Edition packaging scratching game discs, and is now offering replacements via the Xbox website.

The problem is blamed on the plastic and foam nub in the LE tin designed to hold the discs; it turns out plenty of gamers - including CVG - are opening their copies of Halo to find the discs loose and scratched.

Microsoft's replacement program lets those unfortunate few download and complete a form to get a working copy for free, with a minimum wait of two weeks. Other games are covered by the program, but you'll have to pay ?10 for anything that isn't Halo.

You can get ahold of the form yourself here.

Hey guys, I've just noticed that Virgin Megastores have the Collectors Edition and Legendary Edition "deleted by supplier" yet my order still states "In Progress". Are they pulling orders because of the dodgy case or only have a limited supply?

    • Never used the G7 Pro, but I've never had a good experience with that style of d-pad and fighting games.
    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂

    • This Dell 27 inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor is really cheap after a very long time by Sayan Sen Recently we covered a really good deal on an AMD RX 9070 three-fan model that's available at slightly above its MSRP. If you are looking for a GPU for 1440p gaming that's around the performance of the Nvidia RTX 5070 you should most definitely check it out. Let's say that you are looking for a monitor to pair that up with too. The Samsung 49" G9 curved QD-OLED superultrawide is a good option that can provide an immersive experience. However despite being a very good deal currently (at $855), it may seem unaffordable to you, or you may simply not want to spend as much on a monitor. In that case Dell's S2725QS can be a very good option as it's on sale at the moment for its lowest price in over six months (purchase link under the specs table down below). The big highlight of the Dell S2725QS is its 27-inch IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution, offering a high pixel density that can make text appear sharper while also providing plenty of screen space for productivity and media consumption. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz through both HDMI and DisplayPort, making it suitable not only for everyday desktop use but also for smoother gaming and scrolling. AMD FreeSync Premium support is included as well, helping reduce screen tearing during gaming sessions. The screen has fairly good brightness and color accuracy so you can use it for general work purpose, though photo/video editing is probably not going to be the best match for this. The technical specs of the Dell S2725QS are given in the table below: Specification Value Viewable Screen Size 27 in (68.58 cm) Screen Mode 4K UHD Maximum Resolution 3840 × 2160 Maximum Preset Resolution 3840 × 2160 @ 120 Hz Standard Refresh Rate 120 Hz Panel Technology In-plane Switching (IPS) Backlight Technology LED Edgelight System Pixel Density 163 PPI Response Time 8 ms GTG, 5 ms GTG, 4 ms GTG Horizontal Viewing Angle 178° Vertical Viewing Angle 178° Brightness 350 cd/m² (nits) Native Contrast Ratio 1500:1 Color Support 1.07 Billion Colors Color Gamut 99% sRGB (CIE 1931) Adaptive Sync AMD FreeSync Premium HDCP Support Yes Mount Type Panel Mount VESA Mount 100 × 100 mm Maximum Height Adjustment 13 cm Tilt -5° to 21° Swivel -30° to 30° Pivot ±90° Stand Adjustments Tilt, Swivel, Height, Pivot Glass Hardness 3H Horizontal Frequency 27–270 kHz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Vertical Frequency 48–120 Hz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Video Inputs 2 × HDMI 2.1 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3), 1 × DisplayPort 1.4 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3) Operating Temperature 0°C to 40°C Storage Temperature -20°C to 60°C Operating Humidity 10%–80% (Non-condensing) Storage Humidity 5%–95% (Non-condensing) Get it at the link below: Dell S2725QS 27-inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor: $218.49 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $280) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
