Looks like the rubber disc holder might not be good enough to hold the disc in place properly during shipping, causing it to come off and get scratched. :/

I don't know that I've ever posted here, but I've been around for a while. I just wanted to say that I picked up a legendary copy at midnight. When I got home and put the disk in it wouldn't read. I checked the back of my disk and what did I find? Really, really bad scratches! I thought I was the only one! Anyway, I went back to Circuit City and they gave me a disk out of a standard edition. :( Sooo, the image on the front of my disk looks different, but I guess it doesn't matter. Anyway, happy hunting to everyone that's playing the game!

Hop on the thing from the back, go up one level, and then head to the back. It should be glowing red. Keep shooting till you're sure its done

yeah i figured it out, i toke a bring and turn on/off my xbox and baam it was right there in front of me

Wow, even with tripling their server load capacity in anticipation for Halo 3 it looks like they are still having some Xbox Live outages due to the masses playing Halo 3 recently. Matchmaking has been screwy off and on all day today and now I can't even view my Friends List on Xbox.com ;)

Man this game is so addictive and so much fun. Co-op is just amazing.

Gravity hammer has become my favorite weapon and Brutes are *actually* afraid of it when you go near them with the hammer. Finishing off 3 brutes in one shot is so much satisfying :D

Someone hook me up with an article or some information about when Halo 3 is gonna come out for PC?

2 took a while to come to windows, I would think they wouldn't wait more than a month or two? I know there's a marketing aspect if you delay the two but microsoft better not be retarded and release this sh*t soon, consoles suck.

yes i searched.

There is no info on when its gonna be released for PC. Year, two, nobody knows. MS is not gonna publish a console mover game to PC soon. Just like Halo 2 took two years to come to PC, Halo 3 might take as long.

Your best bet is a 360 and the game is totally worth the money.

Posted this earlier but thought it was worth mentioning again. Has anyone experienced issues with anti aliasing in the game...and by that I mean a complete lack of it. last night I assumed it just wasn't in the game (and I had no idea why) but after reading this topic regarding the issue I innevitably followed a link to here.

All I can assume is I have the issue relating to AA. I only updated to the spring update recently since for a few months I wasn't networked so Halo 3's the first title I've really played since but boy is it noticeable. I'd take a photo but I just sent my 24" display in to get a firmware update for something unrelated so won't have that back for a day or two and figured I'd get work done rather than hook up a CRT.

In any regard, anyone got any ideas. In particullar Spartan, seeing as you work in the division, is there any word on the AA issue since the reps seemed to trail off in that thread at page two and more or less dismissed it. But yeah, playing it last night it was plainly clear the aliasing was dreadfull but not hearing many other comments I assume not everyones effected otherwise ppl would be criticising the graphics.

I'll have a closer look when the game gets back I guess and see what other games look like. I'd really prefer not to have to call support since I think a concept such as anti aliasing will go right over their head, especially when its not a hardware failure or red light issue.

Yeah, they have been really sparse on the AA ... That's for damn sure.
Yeah, need to get my monitor back and make sure it's just halo and not some spring update after effect.

Ultimatly it doesnt matter too much in combat but...slow moments it hurts.

    • For a guy who claims to hate Farage and the ignorant, gullible, rightwing racist skinheads sponsored by Putin that his lies represent, you sure are quoting them time and time and time again, mate. I guess you're conveniently ignoring the fact that your country and commonwealth just happened to work much better when it was still part of the E.U.? Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
