Batch Download with Wildcard search? ? ?

Question

Hi all.

Is it possible to use a wildcard and multiple downloader at the same time? ? ?

I need to download something where i dont know the number (it can be between 0-99) for each differing URL.

However, i can do this with flashget but i can only do it manually and flashget can only do 1 URL at once rather than importing a whole text file and doing it that way, which is the way i need to be able to do it.

Is it possible to get a program or a code which allows you to use a wildcard to download these batches at once? ? ?

Many Thanks.

do you know the starting URL? If you know that part, and are just guessing at the filenames ( i.e. whateverURL/home/images/*.jpg ) then there is an option for batch downloading in Flashget. Go to jobs -> add batch download, but it's limited in the filenames you can use, such as the filenames all have to be numbered identically ( 001.jpg 002.jpg 003.jpg ) in order for it to work. If the filenames are randomly named, your best bet would be to use a program such as Offline Explorer to download the entire site for offline browsing, or if the downloads are linked on a single page you can use the DownThemAll extension for Firefox.
