Had it for over a year and a half and had no problems whatsoever and have yet to see any friend get it either...

My brother has a launch console that has never had any problems other than having trouble with a badly scratched disk. :p

Had mine since June 2006, haven't had one RRoD. I have had the 360 lock up twice, though. Both while playing NCAA 07 (I blame EA on that).

Still, I'll be getting a Falcon when it's available.

Anyway, happened to me once. Had it for a year and eight months give or take so it was a reasonable life for a first gen mobo.

Reasonable repair time and it's back on the table.

Yup,its happened to me, I called up Microsoft India Customer Care, and zap in three days my Xbox 360 was replaced :yes:

Wow, in north america theyll give you crap for a year. I wasnt having any problems when i first bought mine so i forogt about extended warrenty. Mabye it is an american thing? Who knows...

My launch console was fine, but sold that to get my Elite. That is still going strong as well. :) With that being said, however, I did purchase an extended service plan from Microsoft. It's very reasonably priced and I have found them to be very friendly whenever I called in with support questions.

Happened to one of my mates. They couldn't replace it instore as they had none left so he got a refund.

Went a while without a 360 and he now has a black elite & bioshock to play with.

Hope it doesn't happen to me. I ain't buying one till the beginning of next year.

Yes, had it happen on my 360 last year sometime but my new one is fine. A few of my friends have had it happen to them also but I did the X-Clamp replacement fix for them and theirs are now still going strong.

If mine does RROD me I'll just X-Clamp fix it and save myself the hassle. Can't be bothered waiting a month for a refurb/repair by MS when I could fix it myself in 10 minutes.

I got it once, back in March, with Oblivion. Thankfully I haven't had it since, but I do plan to send my system in because my dvd drive is starting to get on my nerves with all the disc errors I'm getting. So hopefully they'll put a better dvd drive in there as well as any hardware changes that need to be made to avoid future rrod.

Hell, maybe if I push hard enough, they'll even give me a new system with an hdmi port and all! :p Guess it can't hurt to ask. :)

I have my console from launch still, works fine

even have let a friend use it who used it a lot (i dont use it too much myself). However, my friends 360 when he bought his own died two months after he got it (just a few months ago)...he borrowed mine again while waiting for his replacement :)
