Get object (extra large) icon from its path

How can I extract icon with any size I want for a file or directory ?

I know SHGetFileInfo function which from i can retrieve file icon but function gets only small one (16x16) and large one (32x32). I also know PrivateExtractIcons function by which i can extract icon with a custom size but the problem is that only works with with the following files: executable (.exe), DLL (.dll), icon (.ico), cursor (.cur), animated cursor (.ani), and bitmap (.bmp) file.

Another way that can solve this problem is to get the location (path and index) of file or directory icon. I found a SHGetStockIconInfo function that can do that it's only working on vista.

Look into the IExtractIcon (I think that's right) interface. :)
