Halo 3 Story

Recommended Posts

Well, I've been meaning to play through Halo 1 and Halo 2 straight through again just to refresh the story in my mind before I finish the fight on September 25th, but I never got around to doing it, just didn't have the time. I did, however, visit halo.bungie.org and download the Halo 1 and Halo 2 cut scene libraries and watch them all straight through.

Immediately after that, I watched the Halo 3 announcement trailer and the Halo 3 live action trailer... and WOW. Putting it all together like that in one sitting really puts everything in place and sets up the story beautifully. It's truly amazing how much Bungie has put into this story, you can really tell when you see it all together like this.

Man, I thought I was pumped before, I absolutely cannot wait for this baby!!

Those of you that have not played Halo 1 and/or 2 or could use a refresher, I really recommend downloading the cut scene libraries (I can set up a Torrent of all of them put together or upload it to some hosting site or something if enough people would benefit/would use it. It's 912MB total, WMP Large).

I got together with a few friends yesterday and played through Halo 1 with co-op. We did the first few levels on Legendary, but we figured it would take too long and we were mostly interested in the story, so we finished it on Heroic.

The ending still hit me just as much as it did back then. Excellent story.

We're going to do Halo 2 next sunday, but I think I'll still grab those cutscenes.

Guys, I'll have those links to download the compilations within the hour. I'll edit the first post with them. It's currently uploading as we speak... :D

Using words abit strongly aren't we ?

although i think halo is a good game i dont think i would rate it the best....

 I knew it was only a matter of time till something like this was posted... please, if you're not interested in the game, stay out of this thread. I don't get why you have to shoot down goatsw0rth's opinion like that?

@ magik : 2 games in 14 days could be easy if u weren't doing anything else

... yea, so?

Halo 2 Cutscene Library download link added. :)

Won't the collector's edition have the new cutscenes? Else I will have to youtube them, that would suck.

btw, I downloaded all the Halo 2 cutscenes separately, but I'm missing the part where the chief goes: "Sir, finishing this fight". Did I forget something?

It's there. It's the last one before the credits.

Watching everything and playing it just makes the wait feel even longer.

Can't wait.

My roommate was not into games but he liked watching Halo when I was playing. He used to comment, this is as good as a movie. :) Candid, honest opinion from a non-gamer.

My girlfriend is like that all the time with near enough every game I own. She would rather sit and watch the story than join in :p

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
