mastermik
I just got this gateway notebook, and there's a button to turn bluetooth on and off on the keyboard. Support says that an icon should come up on the systray. But i see nothing. Is there a program i can run to discover if i actually have bluetooth on my computer or not? Is there any way I can figure it out? help appreciated. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/587950-bluetooth-problem-on-notebook/ Share on other sites
Nocturnus
Try checking if you have bluetooth listed under My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager. On my computer the bluetooth is listed under its own section (Bluetooth Devices). If its not under there, the drivers might not be installed and you can find them on the internet by searching for Widcomm Bluetooth Drivers. These drivers work for my devices even though I have a billionton bluetooth device so they will probably work for your device as well. betasp
Make sure the service is not disabled (like on my company machine). Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/587950-bluetooth-problem-on-notebook/#findComment-588850963 Share on other sites
Brian M. Veteran Posted September 15, 2007 Veteran Share Posted September 15, 2007 In control panel, you can choose "bluetooth devices" or "bluetooth" and tick the "Show bluetooth icon in notification area". This will show the bluetooth icon down by the clock whenever you have bluetooth switched on.
