Don't get me wrong...the theme is nice...but I guess I don't see the big attraction to it. I mean it looks pretty much like Windows Classic with a few color changes. Am I missing something?

Maybe thats the point... people want to keep the light classic feel, but dont want the butt ugly widgets that come with it. :)

Chris

Well said, Binary. I think thats exactly the appeal.

how about those bitmaps binary? please?

here they are.

Chris

thanks but they're just a tad short though. ;)

hmmmm with tclock you can set the margins in which it stretches, try that :)

Chris

will this work normally if i do not install it into X:/Windows/Resources/Themes?

anyway, i got this error message.

The theme files should be working fine, they do for me anyways.

If you let the installer do it's job, then everything should be working 100%

*edi* oh wait you have F:\ as your root drive, thats why. I'll fix the theme files so that the recognise any drive as root.

so you have 4 OS' installed? :\

hmmmm wait a second. The theme files are already set up to recognise any drive as root.

You must be doing something wrong then.

Chris

Great work, again. Just want to note one very irritating thing. Here is an image, it displays everything (and I hope explains too :)

http://aquadark.hit.bg/missing.PNG

Possible to be fixed ?

what image?

You need a faster host, cause it's timing out :( Can you explain the bug?

Chris

Please allow me to attach your image, aquadark ;)

This is the picture from aquadark...

yeah... Because of the way the headers are that isnt realy possible, or you'll have those big fat lines all along which would make it look bulky. I'll see what I can work up, but I'll probably just leave it as is.

Chris

One idea from me Binary: How about to set the line that splits the different attributes to the left side? So only the last (right) one will have no ending...

Hope it is understandable :p

I have tried that, but it doesnt look right.

I'm just going to leave it as it is.

One thing I noticed in this revision is that the characters of the text "Start" are too close together (at least for my taste), so I made a new Start BMP for the Blue Color theme; however, when switching themes Photoshop crashed and I lost the PSD, so there is only one for blue. It is attached (as a ZIP since, strangely enough BMP's are not allowed). Binary, if you do not want this bmp distributed, I'll take it down right away.

I wouldnt have allowed a bmp for the start button if I was gonna say you couldnt make your own and share them ;)

I made that in photoshop, so it seems PS put the text too close together  Oh well I did notice that, but it didnt bother me, I can fix it for the next release I suppose.

Chris

so you have 4 OS' installed? :\

only 2, Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000

one is designated for Windows, another is for Programs, third is for other (MP3, personal stuff), and 4th is specifically for Windows 2000

Awesome theme like always, Binary!

I just found one (very) small bug when clicking the start menu. A dotten line when appears at the far left. Here's a screenshot:

http://www.theforumisdown.com/uploadfiles/...startbutton.gif

The dotted line you're seeing there is the focusing rectangle for the start button. The way Binary and many others implement completely customised start button is to set the left-hand content margin of the button to a negative number so that the text and icon is not visible. In this case that margin is not negative enough so when the start button is focused you can still see the right-hand edge of the focusing rectangle.

P.S. The problem can be easily replicated by clicking anywhere on the taskbar and tabbing to the start button.

hrm thats good to know, thanks.

I have fixed that bug, but if you tab to it, you wont know it's highlighted (who the hell tab's on the taskbar anyways? :\ Just use the winkey to open the start menu :))

I'll upload a new build sometime later.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
