Binary, are you planning on making it jet black or charcoal black?

I'm curious, cuz I tend to think charcoal suits the Watercolor look a bit better. Jet black would make it feel......hrm...well, I know you'd make it look good, but solid black just strikes me as incompatible with the whole XP feel, or worse--metallic. My own opinion, o'course. I just can't imagine Watercolor featuring something with pure black. I can't imagine that following the easy-on-the-eyes WC tradition.

But tradition isn't anything special anyway. :D

i was never really fond of this, until i saw Dazzla's little addon for this, this Theme really matched it.

but this is truely a masterpiece, you should be proud of yourself. if possible, could you please make another one which is 2 or so pixels less? i can't really adapt working with a taskbar that is not to my size. seeing as how i don't have Style-Builder, perhaps you could do it if you're not busy? (PM me if you want to)

thanks, and keep up the good work.

What happened to updating the vanilla Watercolor style... I'd love to see all the fixes with a normal taskbar.

I may be discontinuing the 'normal' version and just going on with the thinner taskbar. I will of course add the original olive and silver substyles to the new Lite style, and a few more while I'm at it :D.

If there are enough complaints/requests for the normal taskbar then I guess I can continue it. But remember, it takes alot of work to maintain two styles with multiple substyles in each. Some of the substyles may reveal bugs that the others dont have. Plus it's just a pain ;) Stylebuilder likes jumbling the settings occasionally, so the result is buggy substyles, and messed up settings :(.

I bet he applied it without a proper uxtheme.dll. Should I tell him how to fix it?

:)

Chris

*edit*

I emailed him back:

"Well, thanks for your positive feedback. My theme certainly did not screw up your windows machine. Did you by any chance install Style XP (www.tgtsoft.com) before applying my theme? Because thats what you need to do... Or else it will appear to have messed up windows. If you write back explaining what happened I can tell you how to fix the issue.

Oh, and did you happen to read the disclaimer?"

mmmm disclaimer. :woot:

I love this Watercolor....it's great....thanks for the great work!

Just to let you know, my vote would be for a regular taskbar version of the black, cuz I don't use the thinner one.

If it happens, great. If it doesn't, I won't complain, I'll just stick with the color I've got.

Thanks Binary :)

I dont see why people dont like the thin one :( It's only like 2 or 3 pixels lower. :)

Chris

Thank your for Watercolor Lite!

It is the best theme i ever saw - and the thin one is the best for 1024x768 ... excellent design & enough workspace.

My question: Is there an official website for the Watercolor Styles or is this forum the only source for updates ... etc. ?

Thx & Greetz

Basically this is the main forum for updates. I dont have an official site, it's been talked about, but meh. :)

if only all windows themers would incorporate the amount of time and effort binary does into creating installation files, providing support and above all, tweaking the interface of their themes to the point where every time someone clicks something, they say "wow," under their breath, we would give the mac theming community a run for their money (which they must have, given the price of their hardware) binary, every time i format my hard drive, watercolor is the first theme to be installed, just because of quality (of course, then comes luna2, because of beauty and its professional looking interface) more people need to be like you.

This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. This release fixes a Windows security issue that could allow arbitrary file deletion during privileged cleaning (reported by Zeze with TeamT5). It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Added cleaners for Visual Studio Code, Codeium, Librewolf (.deb), Transmission (Flatpak), and Profanity. Improved Linux trash detection, including Snap-installed applications and mounted drives. Fixed Wayland root CLI issues and several Snap-related problems. Improved package dependencies, AppStream metadata, and desktop file handling. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
