nice topic, gonna try this out, i dont care so much about possibly slighly longer loading times, since the nice-look outweights everything 4 me.

i have divx installed on my vista os, so far if i installed one of these codec packs additionally i got often errors and system crashes, does the latest ver of the vista codec pack have the same probs or is it stable and advanced ennough?

I found there is no need to add anything to the registry.

Install https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=announce&f=12&id=11 Codec

I installed version 5.0.0

and when u will on the Additional Tasks Screen under the Windows Explorer option click thumbnail you want (I seleted all)
