+1 for KoL's setup.

Sorry for the cellphone quality, it's all I have. It sucks because it doesn't bring out my workstation much.

Got new speakers, the Z4's are BADASS. Comments appreciated. ;)

Are these speakers really so good? I mean for this price. They looks awesome, but how about sound?

my workstation for the end of the year!

I used to run on a 15" HP Monitor but I finally got a 26" LCD TV less than a month ago! I love it, VIZIO is pretty top notch got it for $487, awesome price and it's great, I use it as TV, Monitor, and for my 360!

Wow, kinda late but thanks again for all the great comments. :D

I'm gonna save up next for a white office chair or something, I've seen a few nice ones at Target. ;)

Oh man... let me tell you. Clicking that checkout button was the hardest thing ever, I just couldn't see myself paying $80 for some computer speakers, I couldn't justify doing it, so I just closed the window and waited till the next day. On the 5th attempt, I finnaly sucked it up and went with it.

I'm upgrading from my old Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers, I've forgotten the model number to them and they're so old that I can't find a single picture of it on the web. But they were the best $30 speakers I have ever purchased. The bass level was very satisfactory and it stood strong for years.

I honestly didn't expect too much from these speakers. But damn... once everything was set up, I turned the bass all the way up and set the volume to %50. The room was dead quiet, once I clicked that Play button in WMP, I knew instantly that I made and AWESOME purchase. My jaw literally dropped, the bass, the clarity, it was incredible.

I definetly recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to go 5.1. I know these speakers are pretty incredible, but Logitech also has the Z-2300 2.1 speakers, which is a huge step up. Lord jeebus I can't imagine how good those sound.

Ruiz, I think you had the AVS-300's previously?

If so, I had them as wel(Y)Y)

Radish?

Yup! Those were the ones. Awesome little speakers! I passed them onto my sister, she's upgrading from crappy monitor stereo so she's really siked about them. Merry Christmas sis.

:pk :p

you by far have the best looking setup IMO! I finally found that desk you have at best buy. I'm sure it's not the SAME one, but it looks just like it. I've wanted a full glass desk for the longest but the keyboard tray has always been on the wrong side. I also just ordered a second Acer 22" widescreen that, now that's to you, will both be mounted on the wall!

good job!!!

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
