riot
I have a DSL connection at home on my only phone line. I am working on a friends computer and I need to test his dial-up connection. Can I plug his modem in and try to dial-up on the same line as the DSL? Thanks! Shof
I think you, you just need to remove the filters. I remember when my dsl went down the ISP told me that i could temporary used there dailup service for free and they simply told me to remove the filter and the plug the phone cable in my computer. I was unable to test it, due to a missing dail up card on my computer Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/592610-dsl-and-dial-up-on-the-same-phone-line/#findComment-588903379 Share on other sites
riot
I was thinking I may need to use a filter on the analog modem to get rid of any DSL noise. Are you suggesting I unplug the DSL router and all filters before plugging in the analog modem? Thanks! Edit: Thought I would post the solution for future reference. I turned off the DSL router and removed the filter from the analog modem and was able to dial-up and connect. Thanx Shof for your help!
