In the upcoming Cylon backstory movie, Daniel's role as a Cylon model will be explained from what I've heard. His role will be largely based on why Cavil is Cavil... though we already know that.

We shall see, but are the model numbers sequential to when they were made? Why go from #1 to #7 then to #X?

Remember when Kara drew paintings of Jupiter? How is it that she "saw" Jupiter only to lead the fleet to the real Earth. The Earth that was decimated by nuclear bombardment. Also, I distinctly remember Galactica flying past Mars or something like that. Either case, it's odd that the real Earth has the same planets as the fake Earth (ours). Wait a minute. Didn't we see North America when Galactica orbited the real Earth? Ugh! It's all so confusing now. Perhaps I should re-watch the complete series on DVD or Blu-ray.

Exactly, that's been pestering me the most.

The shots of earth were obscure when they arrived, but they did show the second earth in the season three finale, which I think was cheap for them to do since they knew that there would be two earths.

honestly I think you're right, but I also believe he said they changed the ending during the writers strike.... hell even they didn't know Ellen was going to be the 5th until well into the 3rd season, she had to keep it a secret for a year or so because of the writers strike... anyways, thought for sure there was going to be something more to the black hole other than a strategic base, would've guessed some nukes fly threw and destroy the revelations earth but it was a good ending that goes along with our history pretty well, damn wish they would've gave the nomads ship schematics tho...lol

* 12 colonies find a new planet, call it "Earth" (fake - our Earth) and settle about 3000(?) years ago in our timeline

You know, if anyone has changes to the above, let me know - let's see if we can get a decent timeline.

I am sorry to be picky, but it was 150,000 years ago. Great job though.

And Hera was pivitol,

Her kidnapping by Boomer brings the Galactica to the Cylon colony...

Cavil's holding a gun to her head produced the end of the war - Cylons get ressurection tech (although they didn't, like we all saw) and in the ensuing gun battle in the CIC Starbuck gets the Galactica to the New Earth with the musical notes as co-ordinates

The Cylons on the base get wasted by the nukes from racetrack's raptor - no more threat from them

The Cylons on the rebel base-star get set free and bugger off to explore the galaxy

The humans and skin jobs settle on "Earth" leading to us!

I gotta say, I watched the whole series over the last month and it was very good!

It was like reading a book, and maybe by watching it all together it felt more complete.

It saddens me though that there are no more episodes to watch =( Great show start to finish!

Lol mate, I too (and Rappy!) have been rewatching the entire series from start to finish over the last few weeks, and having rewatched it all again, I'm left thoroughly satisfied. A second watching of the finale is always a great idea. Man, I'm gonna be so bored on Friday's now :(

Also, managed to get hold of the soundtracks too, some amazing stuff in there!

Just reading some Star Trek stuff, and remembered RDM co-wrote the TNG Finale: All Good Things...

"Picard finds himself traveling between the past, present, and future while attempting to prevent thedestruction of humanity ? by his own actionsb>."

Sound vaguely familiar?

  • 2 weeks later...

Well what can I say! I started watching this series a month or so back and wanted to know why people raved about it so much and well I can see why because it was frakin epic! Everything about this series was awesome from the story to the soundtrack to the characters and when I just saw the finale and everything fell into place I felt like I had been on that ride as well with the Galactica feeling their pain and woes and jubilations!

Quite frightening really that ending, we are creating skinjobs! so maybe it will happen! :p

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
