[Official UK] Xbox 360 Special Offers & Deals

Recommended Posts

I just saw this for example with Resistance 2, it was ?29.99 at gameplay.com, and went upto ?34.99 nearer launch.

I might pre-order it, and cancel if something comes up at a later date.

Yup, that's what I do and how I managed to get R2 for ?30 as well.

I've done the same trick with Amazon many times before. They list games years ahead of launch and put some generic price like ?35 or ?40 when it comes to LE's.

Amazon's 12 Days of Christmas. Lots of cheap games. Most of them released in recent months now for 1/2 price!

Zavvi still have their ongoing sale.

(Cheapest thing on the site is the DVD Shrink wrap at 97p: http://www.game.co.uk/CoolStuff/Miscellane...px?added=333111 - total price is just under ?21 for the wireless headset)

Never heard of it til now!

It's another exclusive JRPG from SquareEnix.

Its getting some mixed reviews, but if you can look past the graphical faults its meant to be really good (at least in the eyes of hardcore JRPG fans).

Fable II - ?19.57 at Amazon

Gamestation is out of stock on Fable II, but so is Amazon, I guess it's a question of who can get the stock in first!!!

I can't believe these prices on such a big 360 exclusive release.

Game prices are rock bottom on many bigger titles just now!

Yup! It's a very good time to be a gamer, prices for games have plummeted recently, but then again so has the economy, so be careful!

I've noticed that the 360 still seems marginally cheaper than the PS3 in many cases, though. Perhaps the cost of Blu-Ray is keeping their prices a few quid higher?

Doubt it's BR, it just seems to be that way with some titles for some reason?

Although right now LittleBigPlanet is like ?17 on Amazon.

So yeah, lot's of recent big releases going cheap! Good times.

Not anymore its not. I noticed earlier it went up to ?21 and now its not sold by Amazon at all right now. I guess they ran out of stock!

Woot, just realised we're on page 60!:D:D

Is Far Cry 2 good then? I hear there are some nice features and it's generally a good concept, just a little repetitive.

I personally was really excited for the game and then I got it and played it and thought that it was awful, I sold it for ?27 cash in CEX on friday so I didn't lose too much money buying it.

Damn, I was really considering buying it too:((

MEGA MONDAY @ play.com

Far Cry 2, Saints Row 2, Midnight Club Los Angeles, The Last Remnant

All ?17.99 each:))

If you can deal with the effort and the risk of CEX changing their prices before the game arrives from Play.com (Who are hardly the speediest retailer with delivery times)

Far Cry 2 - CEX currently pay you ?25 cash for this game so a nice ?7.01 profit there

Saints Row 2 - CEX currently pay you ?25 cash for this game so a nice ?7.01 profit there

Midnight Club Los Angeles - CEX currently pay you ?27 cash for this game so a nice ?9.01 profit there

The Last Remnant - CEX currently pay you ?27 cash for this game so a nice ?9.01 profit there

Anyone know of a decent offer for Rock Band 2 (game only)?

I would say check instore in Sainsburys today as they apparently have 25% off Games, CDs and DVDs today.

But for online: Shopto, gameplay are ?37.99 and Zavvi is ?38

    • Yes, it was amusing at the time because even then dbrand was well known for stealing the designs of products from other companies. That’s what they do.
    • Didn’t Dbrand once complain that Casetify was ripping off their designs a well? seems pretty bad of them to try and get around Valve’s copyright this way with that in mind.
    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
