Cheap games everywhere and a lack of money due to present buying.... EPIC FAIL.

I agree. Just too many good games and not enough funds.

At least there is a slow down on games until end of January so we can pick up some before they start coming again!

Yeah it's true, just looked it up on BBC news. I don't think they've went completely bust, from the looks of it they're going to stay in business, but need to make some quick cash (i.e. sell off a few stores, sack a few people, etc.).

Offload some cheap games ;)

I don't know why everyone is so surprised about Zavvi going into administration. I posted the news December 2nd. It was bound to happen when their supplier got into trouble.

Yeah I can't see why people were so surprised. Business' such as Zavvi use an extremely prone boom and bust model, they make 80% of their sales in the run up to Christmas (November / December). With Woolworths going under and taking with it EntertainmentUK (EntertainmentUK was the only profitable part of Woolworths) which was Zavvi's distributor, forcing Zavvi to close its web site it was bound to happen.

Still shame to see them go, they have only recently opened up a massive shop in the new Liverpool One shopping centre, but then again it looks like that shopping centre is about to lose a fair number of shops. :(

The one in Glasgow (there's two actually iirc) but the flagship shop is 3 floors high. It even used to have a coffee shop in the book section. Not sure if thats still there though, I only frequent the games section :p

There's really no rush to buy L4D. It's a good game, but it's not like you guys are missing the game/story of the century. Go down the arcade and play House of the Dead. Almost the same thing :p

Ok, so slight exaggeration there but still ;)

If your local Woolworths hasn't closed yet definitely take a look! Mine closes tomorrow, popped down there today and they had quite a few games left (behind the counter in a draw - had to ask the person at the desk) all for 50% off. I got:

Gears of War 2 - ?17.99

Fallout 3 - ?14.99

Call of Duty 4 - ?12.50

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - ?8.50

Eternal Sonata - ?4.99

Lost Odyssey - ?4.99

They had Guitar Hero 3 with Guitar for ?29.99 too but I had no money:(eft :(

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
