Back to the GAME voucher topic...

Hehe - makes our (those of us that are getting it for ?19.99) saving even better :DD

Yep makes me happy.

Does the voucher trick still work?

And does buying the COD WaW map packs from German workplace work on UK version without issue?

Just a quick update on the GAME conversation - it definitely looks like it's not a problem with tricking the system for pre-orders. I've just had a confirmation mail for Tales of Vesperia being dispatched so I double-checked my account and it's kept the ?10 off :shifty::

Any idea when the code expires? I'll have money for two more of the discounted Microsoft Points by Friday, and I don't want it to end before then!

I believe the vouchers expiry date is 01/07/2009 so you may be in luck, but that isnt to say game may pull it early

Sweet! :D Hopefully they won't pull it before Friday. :p

It works :) my points have been dispatched :D

I spoke to my boss about this today (Trading Standards officer) Once they 'accept' the order they CAN'T deny you the products, you have a legaly binding contract :p

He needs to get some re-training, no shop has to sell you items if they are priced incorrectly, in fact no shop has to legally sell you anything or give you a reason for not doing. You only enter a 'contract' once you've have handed over your money and they have handed over the item. They can't charge you more without getting your consent, but they can cancel it (it even informs you that the other item will be canceled, it just doesn't). I doubt you're going to ring GAME to complain that this 'scam' hasn't worked...

On another note looks like I got CoD WaW for $19.99, better get some points too :D

You're in the Movies with Live Vision Camera - ?2.99 with the method .Rob posted to get ?10 off @ Game.co.uk

Even if the game sucks a webcam thats compatible with XP / Vista / Windows 7 (64bit editions too) for ?2.99 can't be bad can it?

I already have one and the quality is not bad at all, works perfectly with MSN.

CEX.co.uk trade in ?6 cash, ?9 exchange ROFL:rofl:rofl:

Question:

Has anyone tried this with games that are out now as the fake 100? Could GAME charge us the balance when the 'on-preorder' you've cancelled reaches its release date and it shows it was cancelled?

Thanks Rob for the info :) I noticed your picture message you sent me with all 8x2100 points (Y)

I ordered 6x 2100 points today and also managed to order a couple of games cheap.

Is it possible to add pre-order games and get the discount because all i get is ?10 off tony hawk ride which the one i'm cancelling.

I know MJ had issues with this and i managed to order everything else fine. It must be for pre-orders prehaps?

The only issues I know with it so far are anything that's under ?10, and in terms of pre-orders, Halo 3 ODST and DiRT 2 work fine, but Forza 3 and Mass Effect 2 don't.

Ah i see. Yeah i tried Mass Effect 2 and Forza 3 and both had the discount for Tony Hawk. I haven't attempted other games yet but i really should get DiRT 2 since the first being a great game and (Colin McRae was truly a great driver/person)

It must be something to do with pre-orders i guess. Did everyone's orders get accepted fine? I have made around 12 orders with 3 complete cancellations:pp I'm sure they know what i am up to:))

My order for the Wireless headset was accepted and I received it in the mail on Tuesday.

I ordered Your In The Movies earlier and so far so good. Should be dispatched tomorrow hopefully.

Just a reminder to everyone, the ?10 off ?100 voucher ends on 1st of July. So get all your preorders in while you can!b>

I can't get it to work for any pre-order games as it takes the discount from Tony hawk ride instead.

I got my points and a couple of games on order which seems to be ready to pac:):)

    • Yes, it was amusing at the time because even then dbrand was well known for stealing the designs of products from other companies. That’s what they do.
    • Didn’t Dbrand once complain that Casetify was ripping off their designs a well? seems pretty bad of them to try and get around Valve’s copyright this way with that in mind.
    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
