Buy an Xbox 360 Elite Console, Get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for ?10, then Get Two Further Selected Games For ?10

Amazon.co.uk

And if you choose the wireless entertainment pack as part of that you get an extra controller and 2 games for a tenner!

Cracking deal Munky - where was it from? Good to see you're back btw.

For anyone after MW2, Morrisons are actually selling it for ?25.99. I think I'll be popping there later, armed with my mum's staff discount card:)) and if I do manage to get a copy then I'll be sending the one I had from Argos back because even though I got it using offers, it was still ?35.99!

Yeah it's a steal, and thanks.

The deal is from Amazon, you can choose which games you want.

my 360 just died after 4 years... also waiting for a good deal.

im wondering if i should just wait till boxing day and see if they have any good packages/deals, or if i should just get one now, so i dont have to wait a month to play modern warfare 2...

HMV were selling 2100 points for ?7 each but a couple of dick heads over at Hot UK Deals ordered hundreds of them and HMV are now in the process of cancelling orders apparently.

Kick's and mine are still on order so hopefully they are keeping the genuine orders(Y))

**** Canada :p

No but seriously, this is for all the UK members. Feel free to start one for US/Canada though. It's a little hard for UK members to keep on top of the deals in another country, other than the ones which gather lots of attention on Joystiq etc.

Above is now expired./

thread removed from Ukhotdeals

Hotukdeals expires everything in no time

People on that site will buy anything if it's cheap just for the sake of it.

What's the best deal for a 360 Elite/Super Elite bundle? My brother's getting one for Christmas, as we'll soon be clearing out the spare room and he'll be moving in there. :)

Here's the best bundles I found so far:

Elite + Wireless Entertainment Pack (extra wireless controller + Lego Batman + Pure) + Left 4 Dead 2, for ?189.99

Modern Warfare 2 Super Elite for ?249.99 (we've already got a copy of MW2, but he's tempted to get a second copy so he can play with my mates online and kick my arse at the same time:p:p

Elite + Wireless Entertainment Pack + Modern Warfare 2, for ?229.99

Elite + Wireless Entertainment Pack + 12 Month Gold subscription + Official Wireless Adapter, for ?248.00

Elite + Wireless Entertainment Pack + Modern Warfare 2, for ?229.95

Thanks&:)3; :)

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.

    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂
