Buy.com is currently offering 12-month Xbox Live Gold cards for only $35 -- a substantial savings over the usual $50. Well, technically, it's only $34.44, so the deal is even better. There's a limit of three per customer, which adds up to three years of Live for just over 100 bucks. Not bad.

[Thanks, Richard!]

I haven't paid over $30 in a while. There was a sale on Amazon and Newegg for $30 not too long ago. It's expired already, though. I stopped posting the sales I came across because it didn't seem like people were interested...

Next time I come across one I'll start a topic "Latest Xbox Live deals" (or you can change the topic of this one) and then I'll just dig it up anytime a new one comes along.

Do they ship/work in Australia?

I priced these in store today (since I got a 360 a couple of days ago), they're nearly $80 here for the year for some reason.

Australia gets the short end when it comes to prices.

All Live codes work in Australia I believe (90% sure). Microsoft Points on the other hand are region locked.

Threads Merged for now (even though I know the thread I just merged was not UK specific).

If you guys want to do a Live Deals thread later on that is cool, but this last one needed to be sorted out and never was so I just merged it with this one.

Next week's Xbox Live Deals of the Week:

Defense Grid, 400 Points (?3.40)

PB Winterbottom, 400 Points (?3.40)

Rocket Riot, 400 Points (?3.40)

Darwinia+, 800 Points (?6.80)

Chime, 240 Points (?2.04)

Play.com are having their usual summer sale, a few good deals in there.

also Game are doing the Limited Edition of NFS: Hot Persuit on pre-order for the same price as the normal one.

It doesn't work. It says it's not available for me. Probably for the best anyway, as it looks like you have to put your card on there, and after the month is up, it auto-renews each month for a fiver.

Well, at least I know when my membership runs out: exactly one week before my birthday. :p

XBL Gold for £1 offer. Sent to subscribers of the newsletter, but for those that don't...

The xbl gold month for a quid deal has been on the xbox dashboard since the 15th June.

I know because I accidentally purchased it by pressing A twice

Previously it was a 3 months for around £7.50 or so deal

Is ShopTo the cheapest place for a Xbox 360 S at ?184.85?

And can someone help me with my 360? MS sent it me back for being 'tampered with' (gawd knows, honestly) and now I don't know what to do. I'm not paying ?80 for MS to fix it and get another refurb unit, so I'd like a new one...or maybe an Elite, I'm not too sure, but I'd prefer a the 360 S. Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks.

    • I already have "Scareware blocker. Allow Microsoft to use AI to detect potential tech scams." which I've disabled in my private (home) version some time ago. It's in "Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Security".
    • just more excuse to get cameras on you to spy on you. Just like the phones.
    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
