Nintendo Gameboy Advance: What Games?

Recommended Posts

well, figured i'd also bring this up for discussion. :p if i'd ever choose to buy one if the oppurtunity shold present itself, what should i get? i'm considering the legend of zelda link to the past/four swords, metroid fusion, and i can't remember it's name, but i think there is a new mario one. tradition, right? gotta have a new mario game and get it. so what do you all recommend? and no i won't bring up any more threads for game advice unless it's on a game i actually own and have trouble with. i choose to stop it with this one. :ninja:

Spyder is right, wait for a backlit gba, (didnt know one was coming!), having no backlight really sucks.

And dont forget advance wars, classic turned based strategy!!!

Other games I play:

Bomberman (classic SNES bomberman action, as it should be)

Mario Kart (altho its like the snes version, not the n64. I was great at the latter, and crap at the snes version, never worked out why, but i suck at this one too. need power slides!)

Chuchurat (my gf loves it, confuses the hell out of me, but good game i guess)

Was gonna get speedball2, but read a few reviews, and decided to give it a miss, i think the screen probably is too dam small for it.

Link is an absolute must, even if you did beat the SNES version ten times. Havent played Fusion but its on the top of my games to get list. Also recommend tactics ogre and Super Mario Advance 2. Theres a lot of lame titles that you gotta be careful w/ on the GBA so make sure you stick to quality names.

1) Wait for the GBA SP to come out (as Spyder stated)

2) Games to get:

  • Metroid Fusion
  • Earthworm Jim
  • Super Mario Advance: Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Advance: Super Mario World
  • Super Mario Advance: Yoshi's Island
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Advance Wars
  • Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Super Monkey Ball Jr.
  • The Street Fighter Series
  • Tekken Advance
  • Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Series
  • The Castlevania series

Golden Sun - the best RPG on the GBA

Oops! I thought I forgot a game in my list. Add "Golden Sun" to that list. I wonder if SquareSoft is gonna port over any of the SNES "Final Fantasy" games. I never played "Final Fantasy III" (the U.S. version)...     ...and I would love to be able to play a high-quality FF game in class when it gets boring.

    • And none of them have a "notchless" 3:2 OLED screen, for which I was always willing to pay more.
    • Remember when the PS2 was banned from export because "its too high tech".. "it could be used for missiles".....
