Terminator Salvation : The Future Begins

Recommended Posts

Interesting, I like how, which I think I mentioned somewhere else, that the time line has changed because of previous actions, as mentioned in the trailer, "this is not the future my mother warned me about" which I think is great, it essentially gives them a partially clean slate to create a new image for the "future".

I have forgotten, but I'm assuming this will carry on from Terminator 3 somehow? or is it a half reboot sorta thing?

And did anyone else see the big Transformer in that trailer? :p

Arnold Schwarzenegger may well have shot a cameo for McG?s Terminator Salvation film according to Total FIlm.

?We?re trying to synthesize a human character with a CGI character and that may or may not have something to do with the T800,? McG told the site. ?At the moment it?s not good enough,? he said. ?And we?re running out of time.?

The synthesis being attempted by Industrial Light & Magic have not been deemed successful.

Meantime, Moviehole says that McG took advantage of the film?s ending being leaked to alter so there will be surprises. ?That is not the ending. John Connor is not the machine. We did discuss that idea, but that is not the ending, I can say that right now.?

^ I remember reading about that. Poor actor gets to play Arnie, but get his face hidden in final editing. Better not look stupid.

Also you best get me my trailer I came late and now I want it more lol

Its not a complete reboot. But the future we've always seen John is an old man. So this is the start of the war, the part no one could have predicted. Pretty much a clean slate but I think they are keeping it more real than T3 (boo)

That big transformer thing is called a harvester, it walks around and snatches people lol

I have such high hopes for this movie. I'm really hoping it will be the Batman Begins or Casino Royale of Terminator movies. Not to the same degree as Begins and Royale were the best of their respective series, and you can't beat T2, but I hope it brings new life and brings that level of realism that the other 2 movies have brought to their genre. They already nailed the photography and overall look of the film I just hope the story isn't stupid.

    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
