Terminator Salvation's Ending Changed due to Leakage

Everyone knows I hate spoilers and don't like revealing anything big, so with this bit of news, you're safe knowing that even we have no clue what's going to happen in Terminator Salvation. So the story goes that last June, the big twist ending of Terminator Salvation was leaked online (we, appropriately, never reported on it). Thankfully this was early enough into the production, that apparently McG and company completely changed the ending after that point. Moviehole is reporting that a friend inside of Warner Brothers has seen the film and tells them that the end was changed and is nothing like what was leaked.

Their source says that the ending was changed because of the internet leak. "The ending doesn't resemble the previous one in any shape or form." According to their source, it's "a complete [180] from the original film. Works better. Probably not as hard to swallow." That's all we're going to tell you, because not only do we not know what happens, but we don't want to know until we're watching Terminator Salvation in theaters on May 21st. Obviously no one at Warner Brothers is going to confirm this news, but I'm sure McG will be asked about it soon enough, so of course, look out for more details from McG sooner or later.

I'm very happy to hear that the ending was changed. I love the experience of seeing how a story plays out for the very first time while watching a movie in the theater. I was quite upset last year when it was all spoiled (even though I refused to even read about the ending). Other web guys claim that it's "their job" to ruin movies like that, but I believe in cinematic integrity and prefer not to spoil them. This news just means it'll still remain a secret until the first batch of audiences get to see it. And right now I can actually say that Terminator Salvation is the one summer movie with the most mystery surrounding it. Bring it on, McG!

Lies! That would have been a terrible ending. Connor a cyborg cmon. Especially if there's 3 movies planned. The next 2 would be so dumb. Besides, how do you just take off his skin and put it on someone else lol

I haven't seen the ending that was leaked (or want to because it will ruin it for me), but it can be a T-1000 that takes Johns form?

I am guessing this because you said John is a cyborg.

Yea sorry, I prolly should have put some spoiler tags in there, but nonetheless I don't believe it was the real ending ever. McG himself dismissed it saying it was an idea they played with early on but never actually shot anything for it. It wasn't involving a T-1000. This movie is set before the machines had advanced far enough to create those advanced Terminators. While that would have made more sense, the whole idea is dumb. The real ending will be much better, no doubt it will be a cliff hanger though which will annoy me as the sequel is likely quite a ways off. 58 days left :)

^ Yea thats why I didn't bother doing it.

I'm not saying I think it's a bad idea. But for the first in a trilogy I think it is. That's something you'd end the 3rd on. I think watching 2 more knowing he's a cyborg would be too weird. Plus Bale would have to completely change his character and I can't see him playing a lifeless/emotionless role very well. Besides, humanity's savior being a machine? Cmon, we can't even save our own asses? lol

for those who seek the awesome song from the Derek/Jesse scene of the last episode, here it is, New Messiah by Dead Heart Bloom

oops, wrong thread, should post this in the SCC one :p

please delete this post, thanks

Yea, but I'm a sucker for those post judgement day war scenes. Love all the explosions, gunfire, glowing red eyes, hk searchlights, and of course, destroyed cars, buildings and what not. Visually its just incredible and the thought of actually being in that situation is too intense. I'd say I hope to see some wicked war scenes in the movie, but at this point its pretty much given. 52 more days!!

Yea, but Bale didn't provide his voice, I'd rather he look and sound different then one or the other. At least he doesn't look like a giant sissy like Nick Stahl.

true... but honestly I'd rather have Bale .. cause he's just badass. lol.

As everyone knows, the Terminator Salvation viral game is in full effect. The last update we wrote was in regards to the website ResistorBeTerminated.com being discovered, which is the central location for all major viral updates from now on. They just added a new viral video today, which can be seen below, featuring a few resistance forces from the future. All they say is that it's another broadcast from the future that appeared out of nowhere in their media folder. It looks pretty damn cool and of course it's only the start of what we're going to be seeing over the next month or so leading up to Terminator Salvation.

I love viral campaigns :D

    • I think he means you haven't reviewed previous UFC games. Of course it doesn't matter... Every time you just report on something that involves the President even if just simply what happened you guys usually get accused of being anti-Trump. We live in fun times.
    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

Winhance 26.06.12 changelog: Features Builder Mode β€” build a Winhance config file or autounattend.xml without changing anything on the PC you're sitting at. Flip the new mode switcher to Builder, set everything the way you want it, and save the result as a Winhance config or an autounattend file ready for deployment on other machines. Sponsors & Supporters page β€” the exit donation dialog is gone. In its place, an in-app page (heart icon or the More menu) recognizes the businesses and individual supporters who keep Winhance free. It works offline and is fully localized. Change History β€” Winhance now keeps a receipt of everything it does. ChangeHistory.txt records every setting change (before and after values) and every app install or removal, with clear headers for config imports and bulk actions. Open it from the More menu. Hebrew language support β€” Winhance is now available in 29 languages. New Explorer customizations: desktop icon visibility toggles, This PC folder visibility, an icon cache size setting, and automatic thumbnail cache cleanup. New "All apps view" setting for the redesigned Windows 11 Start menu, and the Windows 11 system tray icons setting is now a dropdown with more control. App-local UI zoom β€” press Ctrl +/-/0 or use Ctrl+MouseWheel to scale the whole app, just like a browser. New External Apps: EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, Rockstar Games Launcher, PowerShell, and Helium Browser. Bug Fixes Layouts no longer clip when the Windows text size slider is set above 100%. Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent β€” error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features β€” they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
