Terminator Salvation : The Future Begins

Recommended Posts

Makes sense since when the 2nd of the trilogy of new Terminator films comes out, Arnold won't be the Governator anymore, and could (I guess) make a real cameo or even starring role. Could he get back in shape again? Who knows, he did pretty good for T3 and that was only what, 6 years ago or so? Plus, look at Stallone for pete's sake. The man is a brick house still.

Maybe he could play the "older" Human that SkyNet takes the mold from to make the T-800 Arnold?

I hope to god this is better than the steaming pile that was T3

Before people start randting on about the book is never like the film, yeah I agree but beofre Terminator 3 came out there was a book called Terminator 3 Infiltrator which was a great book and it explained why JD failed. The book started off where JD ended, when I went and seen T3 I walked out just after 30 minutes because it was... there is only one way to put it. Rubbish they should have gone by this book because it would have made a great film, instead they went with Rise of the Machines.

I hope T4 is much better, from what I have seen there are going to be some Big a** boss Terminators in this film.

A few pages back there were talks of having Robert Patrick play a role in the other films as a old scientist trying to find ways of cell regeneration and become "healthy/young" again. I love that idea so much, especially if they use his research as a method of developing the T-1000 as they haven't been able to explain how that works or even if they carry a chip like all others. It would be cool if Arnold did something similar. Perhaps he was a solider in the resistance who was captured and they used his identity as they would think it was a friendly.

He's a little old to take on a starring role imo but I wouldn't mind him returning for some kind of role. I like his character but more importantly I like how they tie in the events of the past with events of the future, seeing the link between the movies makes me so happy  I have a nerdgasm everytime some kind of connection is made across various films.

I really dislike the idea that Judgement Day never happened. Like if it were real, sure obviously. But storywise I think it's much better that it happens. Some things are meant to be and no matter how much they try to change it still happens one way or another. This movie will be leaps and bounds better than T3. Although I will miss Kristanna

I agree on all counts. I do hope that one of the movies will get deeper in the story behind the t-1000.

Great interview and amazing ****in clips. I smell a new trailer coming with those new scenes. Love when the jet fighters take out the HK in the valley, and that shot of Connor looking across the battlefield.

This movie can't come out soon enough, so damn excited for it. Even though the originals can't be beat I have a feeling I'm going to like this movie better than all the rest. :$ I love how all their CGI effects don't feel like Michael Bay's CGI. It seems more real/believable. Transformers you can easily tell they are computer generated. Obviously a giant robot isn't all that believable but the textures they use, movements, ect. Makes them feel very fake. McG's are very lifelike and are going to look spectacular on the big screen. First movie in a long while I'm tripping over myself to get to the theater for, I'm even going to show up early to get some sweet seats!

and it figures those scans are in german! I was all excited to read them lol. Gotta love the grimy T-600. The Michael Myers of Terminators!

Cant wait for the new film, this is a great time of the year for films. :D

Industrial Light & Magic are doing both films CGI, so I don't see how either are going to be better.

There doing completely different types of robots when they are using CGI, what I have seen that is CGI in salvation is the giant robot, the bikes, and bits and bobs of other things. The Transformers are made to move more organically, and have to look like the vehicles they come from, hence the shiny colours and plating.

All the Terminators seem to be Animatronics in salvation too, which is giving them a realisitc edge obviously as its all there on set most of the time.

I think that's really cool despite the age of cheap CGI effects, you don't want to run into the Lucas paradox which is an over reliance on CGI leaving actors on green screen stages with nothing to interact with or you end up with dull monotone performances. Also the close up lighting and shadows will never look right on current generation CGI, I think that's still a far way off.

    • Steam Next Fest returns with thousands of new demos to try out by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Valve has been routinely kicking off demo festivals on Steam for years now, and the second drop of 2026 has just opened its doors. It's a great opportunity for any PC gamers to find some interesting games before they release. The June edition of Steam Next Fest is a week-long digital festival including gameplay slices from a large number of indie developers, though a few major publishers are involved this time too. Interested players can use the Next Fest hub page's various sorting and filtering options to easily sort through the hordes of demos available. The top buttons offer quick access to separate and important sorting options, including "By Genre, By Theme, By Feature," with each one offering more granular settings when clicked. At the same time, the built-in Steam tags system is also available below every page to discover new games more quickly. As always, logging in will also enable Steam gamers to utilize Valve's recommendation algorithms to find game demos they might like, specifically, depending on their past play and purchase histories. This time there is even a toggle now to swap between getting a random and personalized selection as Valve collects more data on the available demos. The Charts section is where you can find the most popular demos on the platform right now, offering up the most hyped titles in a simple list. Right at the kickoff, Mistfall Hunter, Empulse, Echoes of Aincrad, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Over the Hill, Mortal Shell II, and more are trending. Expect this list to change as the week progresses. This edition of the Steam Next Fest is slated to end on June 22 at 10 AM PT. Valve's latest event is now open, and it can be accessed by going to the dedicated hub page here.
    • I lived and breathed MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger. Going to the mess.be website (still online with no changes since 2013) to download display pictures etc. I was a beta tester for Messenger Plus! and spent quite a lot of time on the MsgPlus! forums (a read-only copy is still online at https://shoutbox.menthix.net) Some old Neowin articles also https://www.neowin.net/news/messenger-plus-350/ good times but how time flies
    • Well i'll look into a docking station if needed and use that.    Normally i don't usually have all the drives connected at once,  usually once a month to sync the latest files, and then they go back in there storage area
