Logitech G25 with Gran Turismo 5

Recommended Posts

they took it down? why? weird, it is a beautiful demo.

It was set to be a timed demo. On December 13th Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is expected to come out. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a shortened version of Gran Turismo 5. Many people don't really like GT5P because you are going to have to pay for it when it's not even the full game. But the full game won't be out for a while and for some like me it's a must have! I'll be buying GT5P the first day and once the full GT5 gets closer it's a for sure pre-order.

Same here Gt5 is amazing!

Yeah but the demo was released only on the Japanese PlayStation Store (PS3), and it's taken down.

You can still get it, it's a little complicated tho... you gotta use your pc and ps3 to send the file over.. ;)

Hey, I didn't want to start a new thread for my simple question so sorry to drag this old topic up.

Does anyone who owns a G25 know what the maximum thickness the table/desk can be for the wheel and gearshift to clamp to? Someone said on another forum it was just 3cm? But by looking at the pictures and reviews online it looks to be more. Can anyone confirm?

Cheers.

I would love to get that wheel for GT5 but my question to anyone that owns both (the game and the wheel).

Can you configure the shifting stick to work with GT5? and do you have to press the clutch to change gears? (that would be awesome)

Thanks

From what I've read and the various

videos. The G25 works perfectly with GT5:P including the clutch even though it's not officially supported in the game.

I can when I get home. None of my tables worked at first I had to modify an old one!

Seriously by far the most realistic driving experience you can get, the G25 is amazing. The new Driving Force GT is a good steering wheel for those looking to not spend as much but having H shifter with 6 speeds and a clutch makes the world of difference.

G25 works with almost any game I try with it. Unfortunately it doesn't work with Xbox360 because Microsoft wants you to buy there wheel witch is good but not even close to a G25. PS2, PS3, PC it works great on any game that supports wheels. Some games don't support all the features of it, if you need more info on what works on what games I can write that up later.

I own both. Yes you can stick shift, starting any race you don't use the clutch just moving the shifter switches gears. Hitting the Triangle (not actually labeled Triangle but where Triangle would be, aka the Top) turns on the clutch and you must use the clutch then.

Also pushing the shifter in (like you would if you were going into Reverse) and turning the switch from H to sequential turns the shifter in to a sequential shifter and also turns on the flappy paddles for shifting.

I really want this wheel, just hope we'll see some more racing games released on the PS3. Don't know if i can justify the price for one game ...

You can currently use the G25 wheel with GT5:P, Burnout Paradise, DIRT, F1, NFS:Carbon.

Just went and checked looked like the maximum the rubber feet extend is 1.25 inch's... i swear it seems bigger then that.. I can barely read the measuring tape I'm suing I'll see if i can find another...

Hmm, thanks for checking matey. It does seem bigger than that from all the pictures. The table I was planning on fixing this to is about 2.5 inches thick :(

I have owned a G25 for about a year now, its a fantastic bit of kit. I have been using it to play Live4Speed on the PC which i highly recomend. I have now been using it with GT5 whch to me completes the game, it totaly transforms the game, i couldnt imagine ever using a game pad now.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. This includes the sci-fi grand strategy experience Stellaris from Paradox and the hit SEGA management game Two Point Museum. Asymmetric multiplayer horror title Dead by Daylight and the hit mech shooter MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries are also free-to-play over the weekend.
