The Most Disappointing Games of 2007

Recommended Posts

Assassin's Creed.

I felt that the AI was completely overhyped. The living crowds were probably 20 different characters repeated. "100s of unique NPCs" --- yeah right.

Pickpocketing is a click-and-win. May as well not have bothered making it a feature.

Saving locals plays out the same couple of ways, over and over again.

I'm still playing through it, and still enjoying it though. But it was definitely over-sold. There simply is not enough variety in the game which boasted so much variety.

I know that in first-person-shooters, there is literally 1 way to kill someone. Shoot them.

For some reason I don't get the same satisfaction from knifing people 5 different ways. :/ Maybe it's because First person shooters are expected to change the gaming world.

Somebody bought NFS:PS?! :p

My brother did that. I was gunna stop him, but the memory of him selling MY classic Xbox (with about 10 games and 2 controllers) for a PS2 with no games, one controller and no memory card came back. I just let him waste his money.

I really liked Shadowrun, although I only got to play it for a little while.

Someone mentioned Crysis and I couldn't agree more. Then again, any game by Crytek should be up there. I made the mistake of buying FarCry (I'll be honest, because it looked HOT) and that game was awful. Absolutely no good plot whatsoever. The same can be said for Crysis.

Yey, another SR fan! :D

Crysis all the way. Other than graphics, nothing exciting.

As far as Hellgate. People were simply expecting too much because of the Diablo team and too much was promised to begin with. Other than that the game is great and has future potential.

wasn't there alot of hype for Enchanted Arms???

i bought the special edition version of that game the day it came out, put it in my 360 and after about 25 minutes of listening to the dialoge without even barely getting to play the game i took it out and haven't played it since.

What's that avatar? What's that sig?

That would be unreal tournament. *sarcasm*

Considering I have been playing UT since ut99 I figured I still have to reperesent. :)

But I still think UT3 isn't even close to what it should have been. Hardly anyone is even playing it so online I can hardly even find someone to play.

In my opinion:

  • Halo 3 (too much hype)
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (gameplay has gone backwards and online play is diabolical)
  • Forza Motorsport 2 (in the long term, it wears off)
  • Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (same old, same old)
  • WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 (worse than its predecessor)
  • Bioshock (Doom 3 set in the old days, but not as good)
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (Typical EA recycling)
  • Blazing Angels 2 (what the hell were they thinking?)
  • Lost Planet (highly overrated)

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates. Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts. draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 changelog: Uses electron 42.5.0 #2452 Updates to draw.io core 30.2.6.
