The Most Disappointing Games of 2007

Recommended Posts

But as far as the accuracy, I thought it was spot on (I played it on the advanced control scheme, with the sensitivity turned up). In my opinion there were certain segments that *could not* be done on a dual analog controller due to lack of precision, boss fights come to mind.

I played on advanced, too. Ditto with sensitivity. My Wii remote/sensor bar has always been a little off (Wii Sports crapped out on me a few times, controls locking up or motions not being recognized- something that hasn't happened on my friends' consoles), but it's been most noticeable on MP3. I realize 1:1 controls are impossible (or nearly) on the Wii, but I wish they could be calibrated at least a little bit more.

prob kane and lynch - was really expecting the world from this one.

same here.

it expected it to be THE game with uber characters and graphics, and some improved gameplay, as last hitman didnt have it

turned out, that there was not even one thing to like about it

You guys bashing UT2007 or UT3 and Crysis are out of your minds....dummies, Bioshock even? WTF are you guys smoking

IMO I wouldn't called UT3 the MOST disappointing game but I have to agree with Crysis, sure it looked great but I just didn't seem to like it (probably because I didn't like Farcry at all). I even enjoyed NFS Prostreet than Crysis more... :o

ProStreet for it's controls, repetitiveness and especially for having to listen to the commentator saying "RYAN COOPER!" all the damn time.

Other than that, pretty much every game that came out recently except for COD4 and BioShock.

I'm surprised there aren't more HG:L haters. Odd.

Anyway, that and MP3 were the biggest disappoints. I usually don't look forward to games at all, but damn you FSS for making me actually do that. I have learned my lesson.

HG:L is my favorite game of the year and damn near all time.

Bioshock was a huge letdown. The concept is great, but I can't get past all the ugly visuals. And I wasn't too crazy about the combat.

Counter-Strike: Source

Half-Life 2

2007, not 2004. :p

For me, probably Guitar Hero III, the Wii, and Ace Combat 6.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Crysis was a slight disappointment, only because the suit powers weren't as necessary as I'd hoped they were going to be, but it was still a fantastic game.
