I have a bug/problem to report. The new menu item Go To Url(Background) has an unexpected behaviour. Instead of staying on the page from which the menu item was invoked, Opera goes to last opened Tab and then starts background opening of the new one. Hopefully this can be fixed :)

Hi, Yogurth

There is a footnote on the page you may not see:

Please check this option: “Tools → Preferences… → Advanced → Tabs → Open new tab next to active” to make this menu item work properly

Great menu, why not post it on the Opera forums or a blog there?

Gets you more fans!

Thanks!

Sadly, I am in China and Opera forum/blog is banned by Chinese government for unknown reason. :(

This isnt working to well on the new 9.26. Any updates coming soon? I really like the look of this.
Note: This version is for Opera 9.5+ only, if you are using Opera 9.23, 8.x, 7.x …, please install 3.5 Build 20070314 instead.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
