Gulf Coast Bill
I downloaded and installed Xdrive from AOL. After installing it, I decided it wasn't for me. So I uninstalled it, using the "Uninstall a Program" option in the Vista Control Panel. Now I see that the Xdrive options are still on all my right-click file management menus. Guess the Uninstall didn't work too great. Anyone have advice on how to remove the Xdrive options from my menus? Thanks in advance. I think the Context Menu Editor (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Context-Menu-Editor.shtml) will do the job. Found that thru www.annoyances.org, which has a ton of useful tips and tricks. Thanks guys. +Xinok Subscriber² Posted December 12, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted December 12, 2007 Incase that doesn't do the job, these two are much more thorough and can be used to disable just about anything in a context menu: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shell_menu_view.html Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/606422-how-can-i-modify-right-click-menus/#findComment-589054358 Share on other sites

Turns out that I DID have to use shexview to remove all traces of that blasted Xdrive. For some reason, the utility from Softpedia didn't clearly list everything. Many thanks. Grope for Luna
I like ContextEdit better. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enh...ntextEdit.shtml To add useful context menu items, try Filemenu tools. You can add custom commands as well. http://www.lopesoft.com/en/fmtools/info.html Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/606422-how-can-i-modify-right-click-menus/#findComment-589056430 Share on other sites

Your suggestion looks very useful. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/606422-how-can-i-modify-right-click-menus/#findComment-589057119 Share on other sites
