DVD Navigation

Question

I need help with VLC's media controls. Does VLC support DVD menu navigation? WMP 11 offers that by allowing me to press the menu buttons like you can with a DVD player but VLC doesn't seem to have the ability to do that. When I click with the mouse in VLC, it goes into fullscreen mode.

Any helpful feedback is appreciated.

Instead of opening a DVD (or DVD image) as dvdsimple:// you should choose dvd://

To do this from the wxWidgets interface: File >> Open File>> Disk>> make sure when selecting your DVD (or DVD image) you remember to choose DVD (menus) instead of DVD on the top radio buttons.

AFAIK, to play DVD images (ripped DVDs that are sitting on a local disk) in WMP 11 you would have to mount them first using some sort of utility like DAEMON tools.
