So far it's been pretty good. My only gripe is

The elite unit people aren't so elite (bloody useless, third world armies are probably better) A sniper that needs a red light isn't a good sign.... They look so tacky as well. Gwen can't shoot for toffee, she keeps moving the gun up after every shot. The second part highlighed this for me, she also seemed way to up her own buttocks as well. Third part was miles better, although the pauses in the communication with the 456 just annoyed the hell out of me, way too many.

Agreed on the the 456 delays. All of them added together would probably be a few mins. Also agreed on the elite unit, the sniper was terrible and letting Gwen get in their base to try save Jack shows how bad they are. Still really good so far though, can't wait for the rest and I'm liking Louis' character.

This is shaping up to be great. Hope RTD doesn't screw it all up again. He knows how to create a magnificent build-up, and bring it all crashing down

That aside, I'd gladly substitute the regular season for 3 of these mini-series in a year. Much better quality, and plot lines (one would think) would be better.

Is this really only a 5-parter? Seems like RTD is dragging it out, for a really quick ending? Good nonetheless, but it does seem like the story setting/etc. have lasted all 4 episodes, and then the last episode will contain the main part of the action?

All I can say is I hope there's a season 4!

meh not quite sure what to think of this really, patchy and drawn out. I sort of feel let down, I would have liked a quick message or whirl around the earth by the Doctor.

Ah well, it will be interesting to see what happens now after the ending, in government and a certain person link between torchwood and Who.

^ i thought so too...somehow it felt rushed at the end. Instead of 456 pauses in ep 3 they could have had more plot development. Oh well, no matter it was a still great 5 parter!

I loved how show matured over the time...well except for dumb snipers and soldiers.

It feels like they wont make another series? Since there is only Gwen left .

Well you have to ask yourself, if it's the last torchwood why put it on BBC One now? Some are saying its may be rebooted to match the new Who when Moffat takes control.

The ratings were through the roof all week for Torchwood they could bring it back but it ended in a way that signals the end and I was satisfied.

Also all week was amazing and some really intense scenes!
