I can't wait to see Torchwood in the US (literally) finally. Doctor Who was proper weird being set in the US this series for the first two episodes, just sorta "out of placey" to me (still loved it though). But the Torchwood crew, lol. Yeah, should be interesting to see them interact in the present, in the US, and have US peeps on the team/work with them.

Plus, Barrowman's American accent is still awesome, but not as good as his Scottish accent.

it's going to be weird but I just want new Torchwood :D

Oh god, Gwen is so hawts, even with the 2 or 3 bad teeth, :p But really I started the show for the Jack and Gwen dynamic and banter etc. Can it be Jack x Gwen timez finally? It's not like she hasn't cheated before! ;)

Torchwood creator Russell T. Davies has revealed that Captain Jack (John Barrowman) will be rendered mortal in new ten-part season Miracle Day.

The character has been unable to die since being killed and resurrected in a 2005 episode of parent series Doctor Who.

However, Davies told AOL TV: "The greatest thing you can do is offer a new look into the character. It's not fundamentally altering the character, it's fundamentally altering the rules [while] the character stays the same."

He hinted that Captain Jack's new condition will be linked to the premise of Miracle Day, which sees the entire populace of Earth unable to die.

"Everyone else is immortal, [and] he's mortal," explained the writer. "It's the biggest switch in the show, which we did in order to give us new insights into Jack."

Davies added that he "couldn't possibly say" if Jack will be killed off in a future episode.

"The stakes are that high," he admitted. "And it's very hard to prove he's mortal without killing him, so that's going to be interesting."

Torchwood: Miracle Day will air in July on Starz in the US and on BBC One in the UK.

I actually hope that little "twist" doesn't last long, Jack is jack cuz of the funky time vortex hax he has going that's making him immortal.

well I think its a good idea while everyone else is made immortal he is made mortal...sort of a flip of a coin but yeah by the end he will probably be made immortal again

He'll have to be unless we somehow changed the future in a big way without me noticing.

Wasn't it already pretty much confirmed in Doctor Who s4? or maybe s3? I forget, but basically that he's going to be the future Face of Bo, or w/e? That's what I remember anyways.

sorry if its been posted but I just saw the trailer for this last night. I know this is been playing on BBC but will this be a new show on Stars or are they starting with the same episodes already playing on BBC?

nope its new, Starz put most of the money up for a new series of Torchwood and BBC let them as long as they can air it around same time which is whats happening

To me it sounds like someone at the BBC is intent on destroying this and Doctor Who :(

Still looking forward to seeing this though, hopefully it will be as good as children of earth

its because Starz put most cash up tbh

Torchwood: Miracle Day premieres on July 8 on Starz in the US and on July 14 on BBC One in the UK.

1. There's a cheeky reference to a deceased former Torchwood member (and no, it's not Ianto).

2. The chief villains from Torchwood: Children of Earth also get a mention, in a roundabout sort of way.

3. "The Founding Fathers had me in mind when they wrote the Constitution, don't you think?"

4. At one point, Rex makes a less than graceful escape.

5. "She should have run faster."

6. A certain drug familiar to Torchwood fans is utilised once again.

7. "First sign of trouble, you go running off with Captain Jack B*llocks."

8. Wales is the British equivalent of New Jersey.

9. "I've got to *** for this ******?!"

10. After lurking in the shadows for a while, Captain Jack makes a suitably heroic return.

What a random date for us, a Thursday of all days, terrible day, lol.

Would have been much better on the same day or the Saturday after, but I wouldn't have chosen a Thursday as the day to bring it back, it isn't even like there is anything good on TV on Fri/Sat at around the time it would be on.

Saying that, chances are the bulk of the people who will watch it a week after on TV aren't going to know it was shown in the US first, and probably just don't care, lol.

yep we got shafted big time with this show...but I suppose Starz have paid for it so I'll allow that! :p

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
