Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li

Kelly Hu, having interviewed her in person for bonus points, should have been cast. Kristin is part asian I believe, but a full asian should've been cast...Maggie Q or Zi Yi Zhang should've been asked before Kristin. I saw the preview for it last night while watching Push, and thought it was a white girl as chun li...definately not a full asian.

The official Japanese website for the Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li film announced last month that a new anime short story will screen exclusively with the film in Japan. The story will center on Sakura, the popular high school girl character from the fighting game franchise. Executive supervisor Koji Morimoto worked with his Animatrix animators at Studio 4?C on the short, which will run immediately after the actual feature ends. The live-action feature and the anime short will open in Japan on February 28.

Morimoto and Studio 4?C also produced the in-game anime footage in the Street Fighter IV game and the separate Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind original animation DVD that was bundled with the game's limited edition packages. The home console version of Street Fighter IV and its tie-in anime video shipped worldwide this month.

"Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li", which bombed on opening last week, also plunged 71% in its second go around and came in 14th. That film is now looking likely to end up with a domestic gross of around a mere $10 million.

It is amazing how bad this movie did. But you know, I never once saw a promo for the movie. I guess they knew it would fail but released it anyway. Probably a good case where an unnecessary nude scene by the lead actress would have brought in a lot of more money.
