George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine

Pros

Plug it in and it's ready to grill in about three minutes.

Chicken gets browned nicely, and all meat gets those little grill lines.

Perfect for cooking for one. It would be a waste to fire up a gas grill or light up a bed of charcoals.

Cons

You do need to clean it after every use, unlike your outdoor grill, and marinade residues can take some scrubbing, despite the "non-stick" surface.

Only one setting--sometimes I wish there was a lower setting for when I'm cooking a thick piece of meat.

I was given this for Christmas with George Foreman's "God is in my Corner" book. And I cook on it at least once, if not two times a day. I may upgrade to the "The Next Grill-eration" just so I can do eggs and waffles etc at breakfast, and use it every meal.

It works awesome. Chicken in around 8-10 minutes (compared to 20-30 in the oven, or on the stove and NO FLIPPING!)

I can't believe that I never used it before, and I'm wishing I HAD had it before. I may actually have been skinny instead of the fat slob I am *LOL*

Anyone who wants to 'start off' with a GFLMFRGM* should start with this. eSalton who sells them, has them for about $20USD here

8.5/10 is my total review, mostly cuz you can't really cook w/ rubs etc as they will just stick to the surface, and the fact you have to really clean it while its still hot.

Good review, I've had one for as long as I've known and use it a lot. And I've actually met George a couple of times.

I'm very tempted to save some money, and go to his Church in Houston TX

Phew, thought it was another lame crack at the PS3 :/

But nice review (Y)

How can you construe a 'lame crack at the PS3" from the title "George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine" ? Are high or somtin'?
I have a larger model and use it a lot with chicken and fish. For some reason, anything that is beef (hamburgers or steaks) turns out bad.
I recently bought 28 premade patties for $10. I figured I'd loose about 50% when I cooked them

When I put two forzen patties on, they barely fit. When I'm done cooking, they have about 1/16th of an inch between them. I'd say they loose less then 10% of their overall size, maybe less then 5%.

Just have to remember they don't need flippin'. Like the old Ronco commercial: Set it, and forget it!

Yeah, maybe you should be active on the console scene before you start calling me something:rolleyes::

See, I've found this not to be true, with my Foreman.

My lid-side plate cooks faster than the bottom. Plus I have to rotate the food because the edge near the drip tray cooks slower than the edge near the hinge.

I give mine a 6/10

reading whats in front of me has always done wonders  ( or staying on topic)

theres like a cleaning accesory i think for like $5....does that actually clean... lol if the non-stick isnt good =\

I find that using Pam spray for grilling really helps with the non-stick surface cleaning...

Only one setting--sometimes I wish there was a lower setting for when I'm cooking a thick piece of meat.

That's the problem I had with it. Meat would either be took thick for it to fit in, or get burnt on the outside because it cooked too quickly.

Use mine all the time with my homemade burgers, etc. Love it. And it does have a temperature setting (well the one I have does). And an "expanding hinge" so as top stop Echilon's problem.

5 years usage so far, still clean as the day I bought it. I clean it while hot - seems to help.

maybe because you lose all that tasty fat.

my gf has one. the only thing i don't like is that you can't remove the grill surfaces to clean them. cleanup would be so much easier if you could just pop them off and wash them in the sink.

    • I’m still using an Xbox One S, so time for an upgrade to play this but as much as I hate Sony, I think I’ll get the ps5 pro
    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.
