(Y)r />(Y), glad to know that. Yes Charlie was indeed a nice character, especially when Olivia needed someone to really rely upon.

Warner Home Video has finally officially slated the Fringe: Season One Blu-ray set for September 8, and included a few details about what to expect on the 5 disc set. The audio tops out with a 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack, but there will be a special Fringe Pattern Analysis extra bringing in "experts" to dissect 6 select scenes with notes photos and diagrams aimed to fill the hearts of those dedicated enough to spot The Watcher in each episode and decode the symbols that flashed before each one. Also included to go above and beyond the DVD experience are BD-Live powered treats with Media Center, My Commentary and a somewhat vague note about exclusive commentary on the season finale with creator JJ Abrams. Feel excited enough to drop the $79.98 MSRP ($55.99 on Amazon)? Check after the break for an animated .gif of the lenticular packaging if you need just a little (really little) more incentive.

Question: Is it true that Fringe will be adding a new cast member next season? --Izebel

Ausiello: Yes, 'tis true. Producers are currently casting a new female agent to replace Kirk Acevedo's Charlie. The character is described as brash, outspoken, quick-witted, and capable, and possesses a "deep core belief" in the wonders of the universe. Translation: She's a Mulder. (EW)

I want Charlie back.. He was just getting so good in the role, and was getting more involved.

I don't want another female on board, I feel it will take the focus off of Olivia somewhat

I agree, Charlie was a decent sidekick.

Radish?

Question: Wait, I thought that it was confirmed that Kirk Acevedo wasn't fired from Fringe? But here you are saying that a new female agent will replace him. What happened? --Michele

Ausiello: All I know is what my sources have told me: Acevedo is leaving for creative reasons and a new female agent will replace him.
