Well, this is a simple Design Tutorial that i've posted some months ago on Paint.NET forum, i hope you understand and/or like it. :wink:

Basically the final result will be a ring like this one:

I will explain how to do a ring with Lord of The Rings Style' (like the "precious")

However you can create different rings and without any fonts or extra fonts.

Requirements:

- Paint.NET 3.22

- Shape3D Plugin 1.2.6.0+

- Soften Portrait/Portrait Plugin (Included in Paint.NET 3.22)

- Erode/Dilate Plugin

- Optionally: <<Hey, but where I get the FONT?>> You can get the Font "Tengwar Cursive" HERE

(How to install Paint.NET Plugins)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1- Open Paint.NET and create a Image, example: 512x512
2- Press Crtl+A and then delete (To create a transparent background)
3- Select an area in the image like this:
4- Now with the area selected, set the First and second colors to this:
5- Now use the Gradient Tool and do something like this:
6- Add new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N)
6.1- (Optional) Use the Text Tool and use the "Tengwar Cursive" FONT (You can find it in the bottom of the list...)
6.2- Now set the first color to black and the font size to 108 (if you are creating a 512x512 image)
6.3- "Write the image from the beginning"
10- Done!
"Thanks to Rick Brewster for create Paint.NET, and to MKT for create the excellent Shape3D plugin!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Post your results here if you like! :)

I've posted this tutorial as-is on the PDN forum, i've only changed the version to download and the sub-menus for the plugins.

You can always use more layers to get rid of the letters inside the ring, like i said this is a simple tutorial, more (and more difficult, as well more advanced) will come if i have time. :)
